Run down

Our room's sink leaked and the biggest issue (we stayed in August) was that the AC did not blow cold air, which we didn't realize until day 2, because it was not too hot the first night. When maintenance came, their solution was to "open the window". We tried that on night 2 with no success. When we asked for a new room after a couple of hours of not sleeping in a hot still room, were told the only "clean" room had recently been flooded & smelled bad! We asked for a fan and were told the hotel didn't have anything like that. We had to check out of our first room the next morning, presumably so they could put another guest into our no-AC room, and wait until 1PM the next day to get a new room. While our new room's AC worked, the shower stall leaked & shades would not go all the way down. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel. While the location is great & it looks pretty, when you try to use something, there's a high chance it is falling apart. While staff were nice, they were not responsive to our issues nor did they offer any solutions (or refunds).

If you're going to NYC to see theatre, this is a great place to stay! The front desk people could have been a little more friendly, but this is New York. The room is a good size for the city, the bathroom's nice and the tub/shower was strong and hot! The room safe was appreciated, and the elevators were speedy. The location was perfect - two theatres on the same street and others so close we could leave fifteen minutes to curtain. The only thing missing was a place to check email and do business on line - but we were on vacation!

A Really Nice Place

We did our research before choosing The Time and I am glad we decided to stay there. The staff was polite and friendly, the room was clean and large enough just to sleep in. It's also in a very convenient location. Why do you need a huge room in NYC? We are already looking forward to our visit next year! Thanks!!!

Good location but overpriced for overall quality... room was ok (standard room) not too small.... we had some water leakage and had to change rooms on the first day - an inconvenience. Majority of the staff was rude.... one nice girl at the front desk... very slow in helping guests

Our King standard was small but had plenty of room for 2 and a terrific plasma TV. The staff was very friendly, always available, and ready to help. I stay in hotels every week in my job and have no hesitancy in recommending The Time for a great Mid-Town experience!
