Description: The Hilton’s surroundings were beautiful: gorgeous swimming pools, Jacuzzis, pretty fountains, and grounds. The lobby was very clean, shiny, and beautiful, plus the staff was very friendly. The rooms were really not what I would call "deluxe;" they were really average, with a small balcony, no carpet, and an air-conditioner that surprisingly worked too good - it was COLD, until you opened the balcony to even it out. The hotel’s room service from their four restaurants was not very good food-wise, although service was good. The pizza was worse than most frozen pizzas here. The TV had only about 20 channels, mostly in Spanish, despite mostly English-speaking guests.
We had did not get the inclusive "package," figuring we'd go out for dinner at least, which was a big mistake, because the prices are HIGH!!! If the hotel is just a sleepover spot for you, then it’s an okay place, but expensive.
I wasn't able to play golf as originally planned due to a broken foot, but what I saw of the golf course looked very nice and well maintained. If you're a resort guest its $125 per round - not really unexpected for a resort course. Overall, the Cancun Hilton would rate just okay to us.
