Royal Sands

Royal Sands

This 5 star resort doesn't mess around. From the moment you enter its driveway to the time you have to go back home (which reality hits unfortunately), you are treated like a 5 star guest. Forget the amazing activities program, beautiful beach front, the Caribbean clear waters, spacious units and beautifully decorated atmosphere... From the moment you arrive, you know you've gotten your money's worth. But if you own a timeshare then, you know you are seriously living it nicely. Hey... but don't take it from me, see for yourself. The service and hospitality make other resorts look like they've finished last!

We had a spacious lock-off unit. The balcony had a great view of the pools and a partial ocean view. There was a nice size walk-in closet and a large dressing area separate from the bathroom.

Service here was exceptional in all areas. We ate great food, including the best chef’s salad we've ever had. The beach, pools, and grounds were beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Royal Sands & Spa

Best Things Nearby:
Malls, restaurants, nightlife, and shopping. Not to mention beach on premises and two very large pools.

Best Things About the Resort:
Courtesy and professionalism. The units/villas are spacious and nicely decorated with amazing views of the pool/beach.

Resort Experience:
This resort is a five-star resort with amazing service. The units/villas are huge with pleasant views in mind. Villas are clean and very well decorated. The resort offers many activities for guests and owners. It is family oriented with an environment as if just for couples. Royal Sands is close to everything, from malls to nightlife, but far enough for those who prefer quiet and relaxation

They just opened their new Royal Bandstand, which offers different types of music and competition prizes depending on the day of week, as well as dinner cuisines. The resort offers two fine restaurants, which are dress down casual or formal depending on evening events.

Royal Resorts is II affiliated, not RCI. It's too bad for RCI, this resort is rated as #1 in accomodations, satisfaction and service for 3 yrs. straight. Overall, it's what you'd expect from a five-star resort. . .and then some!

Best Things About the Resort:

Resort Experience:
The Royals of Cancun include the Royal Sands, Royal Islander, Royal Caribbean, Royal Mayan and the Club Internacional de Cancun with shuttle services running between all sister resorts.

High season for timeshares in Cancun is in the WINTER so your best bet for getting a timeshare in Cancun is probably April, October and November. The rest of the year is already tooooooo HOT AND HUMID.

We learned that the snow birds just never give up their time slots in winter because they MUST get away from the cold and chill of the NORTH....Actually November is a fine time of year to visit Cancun. It was plenty warm and humid - especially as the tours to the Mayan ruins go into the interior of the state.

We can speak for the Royal Caribbean since that's where we stayed one November before Thanksgiving. The unit was large and spacious. Maid service is daily. There are many pools and restaurants to chose from. We are certain that excellent quality of service extends to all the sister resorts. A word of warning - their mosquitoes are plentiful and big, especially at dusk...

There are public buses running continuously in front of the hotel going from hotel row down into town. One of our favorite pastimes was to visit some of the big resorts like the Marriott, Ritz Carlton, etc. Be warned that hotels are set back away from the front of the street so it's a hike from the bus stop to the front door.
