A March 2004 trip to Cancun by Ed and Jo K

Our first visit to Cancun was for our 15th wedding anniversary. We will be going back. It was truly what a vacation should be: restful, relaxing, and beautiful.

Overview

Get up early and watch the sun rise over the Caribbean. It's awesome and gives life new meaning.

Chichen Itza is amazing. The Mango Tango dinner and show was excellent.

The people here are great – they’ll always give you a smile and an "Hola."

Quick Tips:

Relax -- time has a different meaning here and you're on vacation. It feels good.

Best Way To Get Around:

Use the buses. They are inexpensive and one goes by every five to ten minutes.

Hotel

We had a spacious lock-off unit. The balcony had a great view of the pools and a partial ocean view. There was a nice size walk-in closet and a large dressing area separate from the bathroom.

Service here was exceptional in all areas. We ate great food, including the best chef’s salad we've ever had. The beach, pools, and grounds were beautiful. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
