We've been spending a week at South Beach Resort for 2 years now. This time we decided to allow our daughter and son to each bring a friend and also invited my wife's mother and sister. We reserved a 3 BR unit (sleeps 10) and it was fantastic. Even with everyone home, having 3 BRs, 2 living rooms, balconies, and kitchens gave everyone the room they needed. Of course my son and his friend got stuck with the pull out couches, but they didn't complain too much. Since it would be too difficult and expensive to eat out each night (like we normally did) we decided to prepare our meals and splurge on our last nite (Margaritaville - book early!). Each pair took a turn cooking and cleaning and it worked out well. The boys did pasta and meatballs, but the rest of us attempted more elegant dishes. It was a great week. We're already booked for 2009.

I loved this resort. Staff was very friendly. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo that overlooked the pool area. My favorite was the 20 or something person size jacuzzi. Very well layed out with little islands in it. Plenty of room. You can walk right across the street to the beach and even has a little beach club on the beach. It was closed at the time we were there though. The unit was great. Huge tub in master bathroom. Plenty of room throughout unit and it had a large SCREENED in porch. I would stay here again.

This is our second visit here. This time we were put into the "A" building which is one of the oldest. Our 2 bedroom suite was still immaculate and very roomy, and overlooked the pool and lazy river. Our room easily accommodate 6. The kitchen was very well stocked.
The few times we asked the staff for assistance, they were very helpful. We didn't participate in any of the resort activities other than the "Trivia Night" and the Rubber Duck race in the lazy river. If you have kids, there's some activity for them to do every day.
Beach access is across the Ocean Boulevard. It's a nice walk, but having a pool, spa, and little bar right next to the beach is handy.
Nice Par 3 golf course and 2 mini golfs within walking distance. Resort has a deli on site and wireless Internet at the clubhouse (I was able to connect from our suite).
We'll visit again.

Very nice one-bedroom unit - plenty of room in the living room/sleeper sofa for my daughter and her friend. Nice kitchen for breakfast before dancing all day. The bathroom has lots of space with private toilet area. Four girls and we were never crowded for space! Very nice work-out room and indoor pool!

Beautiful beaches. Tons of restaurants, games, water parks, malls, golf courses, etc.
Best Things About the Resort:
Gorgeous rooms, pools, lots of family/children activities every day.
Resort Experience:
South Beach resort is a brand new resort. Rooms are immaculate. Very family friendly. There is a lazy river, and a huge pool that you can swim from inside to outside. They finished another new pool and Japanese pool this year, I cannot wait to see it!
