Nice for half price

We stayed at this hotel since we got a half price deal with Travelocity, the room we got had two full size beds in it, which I was under the impression that it would have at least a queen size bed. The room was musty, but I hear that's how all rooms are at the beach. The door to the room was not working very well either. I was hoping for a newer room as they have done renovations...but I guess that's what you get for half price. We had a great view of the beach and only steps from the ocean. No continental breakfast offered either.
When we first arrived the elevator wasn't working and an employee and an elevator repair man were sort of bickering about payment of the work in front of customers. The elevators are really old and shaky as well.
Make sure you get a spot in the parking garage before 6 or else you'll have to park in the overflow two streets back.
I would be disappointed if I paid full price for the room we were offered, but it was great for * a night.
The pool is very nice and the lazy river is nice too...we had kids jumping in left and right though so it wasn't that enjoyable...plus its not out in the sun, it's covered under the hotel itself.

There is no complaints from me about this hotel. They went above and beyond for me. When I first arrived to check it, the first thing they asked me was: "would you like a free upgrade?" I received a beach front balcony room....Awesome View. Before I booked this room, I of course read the reviews, and one negative one I saw a few times was "I have to walk across the street to a parking garage, and I have kids, blah, blah, blah" But they wouldn't of had to worry about that if they forked out $8 and had the valet park the car for them. Problem solved. ha ha ha....But awesome hotel, I would defently stay again.......Right on the beach, can't get better than that.................Matter of fact, me and my friend are talking about coming back next year and using the same hotel.

Great Room, Friendly Helpful staff. Very clean and located right on the beach. Excellent dining within a 3 block walk. Free parking.

The staff is so friendly and eager to please. The rooms are clean with a perfect view of the beach. The location is convenient to Broadway at the Beach among other attractions. We love this hotel so much that we have already booked more stays. This was our first stay at the Best Western Carolinian, but it will not be the last.
I would highly recommend this hotel and online travel website had a better rate than other sites and even the hotel itself.

This was my first time coming to Myrtle Beach and was looking for a nice but cheep place to stay. I found that Best Western was the best place that was located right on the beach. You can accually walk to about anything. I loved the size of the room that we stayed in, but the sliding doors to our balcony was hard to open. Out of the three nights that we stayed, we only enjoyed one day out on the balcony. When we first came it took them a while to get us checked in. I believe the computers had shut down. They assigned us a different room from what we had reserved, but it turned out to be a great room. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay that is located close to everything, then choose this hotel.
