Awesome Honeymoon Experience!

The front desk staff were courteous and helpful (in Spanish and in English) upon our arrival. All reservations were perfectly in order. I had worried that our room upgrade from "Standard" to "Suite" might encounter problems, but no worries...all was on track!
The view on our balcony suite was amazing! The neighboring suites got a little loud at times, but once you step out on your own balcony and they see that the room next to theirs is also occupied...they quieted down and respected having neighbors.
Access to the beach is awesome; you walk right out, get your towel and they have "beach boys" who carry sun chairs and dig a hole for your sun umbrella to your pick on the beach (tipping of course). The far end of the pool is supposed to be for "Adults only" with children using the shallower pool. The staff try to keep the areas separate, but oftentimes the pool is filled with a mixture. Fun anyways!
The hotel far exceeded my expectations and we will be back next year for sure. Balcony is the way to go!

I just stayed at Playa Los Arcos last week (4/20--4/25). I was a little skeptical but once there i really enjoyed my stay there. It's right on the beach, our room was big enough for 2 people, the bed was a little to hard for my taste. It has an inroom safe, cable tv, hair dryer, fridge on request and air conditioning. The pool is open for 10am to 10pm. The staff is really nice and helpful. It has 4 floors, we were in the top floor with a view to the pool. Their restaurant is really nice with a ocean view, they have really strong margaritas, their breakfast is good but i dont know about their dinners since i didnt dine there. There is also 2 iguanas that live on top of the lobby in the roof they only come out around 1 oclock to sun bathe. I suggest that you sleep with the air conditioning on so you won't hear street cars with loud music at night, drunk guests and also when they open the pool. The streets around the hotel are not that busy but from time to time you will hear passing cars at night with loud mexican music. I really enjoyed it there, we went after spring break and easter so there weren't that many tourists around. Taxi drivers told me that the slow season is after spring break/easter and the last weeks of August, during the busy season when there's a lot of tourists is hard to find a hotel room so book in advance if going during high season. Hotel is right at the end of the Malecon which is really nice walking at late hours of the night and really safe. The weather wasn't to hot either is just got warm.

The room was quaint and comfortable; service was exceptional; amenities easily accessible and the breakfast buffet was excellent. For a taste of traditional Mexico, this is the place to stay.

I loved it, it wasnt as nice as the pictures appeared inside the rooms, but it was cozy and the staff was awesome. I am going again, I really liked that it wasnt crowded and busy. The setting outside (by the pool) is amazing and I thought it was a great hotel.

If you are looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. If you want a basic place is a great location, then I would recommend this hotel. It is older and decorated very charmingly. The food in the restaurant is fine but there are some great restaurants a few blocks away. The beach service is very nice.
