When we returned to the Bellagio, there was a long line of people waiting for tickets and computers were still down. Nevertheless, with our confirmation number in hand, we purchased our tickets. I thought that the show should be awesome at that price and after all that difficulty. Our spirits were lifted somewhat by an extremely nice group of security people who permitted us to go in and sit down. We were very early, but enjoyed sitting in the theater, which is more impressive than many in Vegas. It was interesting to me that they sell popcorn. When the show finally was about to begin, there were some strange-looking people in costume circulating around the theater. Two mimes came out. We thought they were rather rude and in the spotlight too long. We wanted the "real" show to begin.
When the curtain rose, there was activity everywhere and the opening was dynamic. A stage of water that can be controlled is unique. (O is eau, the French word for water.) The acrobatics were amazing. The athletes do precision dives, jumps, tosses, etc. It is Cirque du Soleil, after all. However, my husband began to doze when the two mimes came out again. He has seen Mystere and thinks it's better. We had expected so much from O that it just wasn't as electric as we had hoped. Pardon the pun. Maybe you'll expect less and enjoy it more.

I had seen other Cirque de Soleil shows before and knew that there is a great deal of activity going on all over the stage at the same time and sometimes it's difficult to know what to watch. Pay close attention or you will miss something. The staging is unbelievable. One moment, it's only a platform for performers and the next, it opens up to be a high diving pool. The acts are tremendous and unforgettable. Well worth the price!

We've seen four Cirque du Soleil shows in various parts of the country. This one is by far the most unique.
Ticket prices may be a bit high but so is everything in Las Vegas.

After the show everyone was tired. I found some T-shirts from O I wanted to buy which were listed at $19 on the website so I assumed that’s how much they were at the gift shop. Wrong – they wanted them for $45 each! So I didn’t buy anything and ordered them online when I got home. I was able to get two shirts and an ornament for about the price of one t-shirt if I bought it there.

This really isn't a show I would be willing to spend the ticket price for again, but we are very happy we did go. As I stated in the beginning, "O" is more than the French word for water -- O is Oh!! It's almost overwhelming to the senses. I suggest the early show unless you have lots of rest. The theater is VERY dark during the whole show.
