The Venetian Hotel

When in Vegas, you can expect everything to be grand and extravagant. There's lots of money, lots of food, lots of people, and lots of fun!

The Venetian is no different. This beautiful (and big) hotel has it all. Whether you are coming to Vegas with the entire family or with friends, everybody in your group will find something to do. There is a huge casino in the hotel lobby. There is also a huge shopping mall, which has many great designer stores inside. There are a ton of places to eat, from little sidewalk cafes to huge buffets. There's even the wax museum inside this hotel! What I found most amazing and sophisticated about this hotel was that the offered gondola rides through the hotel!!

The rooms are fabulous here. You get clean and spacious rooms, with huge and comfortable beds. Room service here is excellent and available at all times to help you in any way.
I would highly recommend this hotel for anybody who is looking for a luxurious place to stay while they are having fun in Vegas!

Staying at the Venetian Hotel – Finally!

  • September 15, 2006

After five trips to Vegas, I’ve managed to stay in a good number of hotels on the Strip, but the hotel that I’d been jonesing for was always out of my price range. For some reason, all the stars fell into alignment and I was able to secure a $199 rate for a Thursday and Friday night so I pounced on a reservation at the four-star Venetian. (Although, the Saturday night rate was $500, so we packed up and went down the Strip to the Luxor). As a matter of fact, I had made a reservation for $219 per night the day before, and when I called back to make a change, the rates had dropped. Just goes to show you that Vegas reservations are random and change on a dime.

The room was by far the largest I’ve ever stayed in on the Strip. At 700 square feet, it was almost as big as my condo at home! It had 2 queen beds (though you can get a lower rate with a king bed instead) and a sunken living room. Strip views cost more, and the hotel’s location wouldn’t be worth the extra money – put it in the slots instead!

The staff falls all over itself to make you happy. Request the daily turn down service and they’ll come in while you’re off winning money and leave you chocolates (they’re good!) on your pillow. Also, request a refrigerator – and then head down to the Cheesecake Factory and stock up!

A note on what room to request: Stay as far away from the elevator as you can. It was a holiday weekend, and we were right off the elevator, so every drunk asshat on our floor shouted at 4am, tried to use their key on our door, knocked on the door, etc.

My one complaint about the Venetian, which is minor at the least, was that they really had the low lighting thing going. I’m a woman! I need to see to put on my makeup! Seriously, if I was trying to make a move on my man, the low light would help. But some actual lighting options would’ve been great.

So, my two cents on the Venetian is this: I’d place it in the top 2 hotels I’ve stayed in on the Strip, and WAY better than the Bellagio. The hotel is beautifully designed, the casino is fun, the rooms are huge, the staff is great. But I would certainly not pay over $275 a night.

Venetian (The)

We decided to stay at the Venetian on this trip because we had tickets for The Phantom show. This was my first time staying at the Venetian and I’ve always heard that it’s a great hotel to stay at. Our room was located in the Venetian Suites Tower. It had a sunken living room with a couch and a small table, and the bathroom had marble floors with a soaking tub and a shower. It overlooked the Wynn’s Golf Course and the mountains in the distance. It room was very nice but not as elegantly decorated like some of the other hotels on the strip. There also wasn’t any turn down service in this tower but the newer suites at this hotel had this feature.

The Venetian Hotel is a very nice place to visit when you’re in Vegas. The architecture is very reminiscent of Venice. The ceilings at the entry by the Grand Canal Shops are painted with elegant pictures resembling the originals from Italy. The long hallway next to the hotel check-in is quite sophisticated with its majestic painted ceiling and the three colored marble flooring with its complicated design.

The shopping area at the Grand Canal Shops is a beautiful place to visit for the amazement of the indoor canals that the Hotel created for Gondola rides. Everything that you would want or need is at this Hotel. The Venetian offers superb dining, magnificent shows, beautiful pools and stylish shops and museums to visit.

If you enjoy staying at nice hotels then you will love the Venetian for their rooms, friendly staff and the ambiance of this beautiful Venetian styled hotel.

Venetian

We stayed at the oh-so-beautiful Venetian hotel for $149 a night, pre-paid. You get a bathroom that's a room unto itself, with a sunken tub, separate shower, and the toilet in a separate room. Then the bed is on one level, and you step down into a little living room area. There are two TVs. So if you have kids, that's a great feature. The Venetian is the largest hotel in Vegas and the world, so they say. There are shops on two levels. And of course, they have the gondolas there. If you like the Italian scene, you either have to stay there or visit. Italian provincial furniture to die or kill you.

The Venetian is known for its Canyon Ranch Spa. They have a fitness gym, restaurant, and spa. Some people are crazy for this and they do it well. The outdoor pool is another best feature here and if you like to swim come back when it is warm, or bring the bathrobe from your room. The pool is fabulous and heated.

Best Things Nearby:
The M&M factory and the Coca-Cola factory. Because they are next to each other, it's really convenient.

Best Things About the Resort:
I love how it's an all-suite hotel. I also love how to tried to imitate Venice, with the canals and the gondolas. However, when I visited Venice, there were glazers, or adepts in glass working, and there weren't any glass stores or etc., at the Venetian. How can they miss that--it's one of the most famous things about Venice?

Resort Experience:

The accommodations were sepctacular. I stayed in their Venezia tower, and I was quite impressed with their impeccable service. My room costed about $300 a night, which is not a bad deal for what they offer. Their rooms are huge. I really liked the design of the room. The sunken living room is great. When I wake up in the morning to the Las Vegas sun and look down at the living room from my bed, I feel like a V.I.P. During my stay at this hotel, I felt like a celebrity from check-in to check-out. The special check-in counters on the 9th or 10th floor made me feel great. I also liked how you got many advantages, like the pool on the 4th floor that the guests in the main building couldn't go to, or at least, that was what they told me. Truly a remarkable experience for a low price.
