Great Place to Stay

We stayed at the Inn at Mazatlan and stayed Oct. 2008 and had a great time. The resort location is the best in Mazatlan right in the golden zone within walking distance to tons of restaurants and shopping. The resort is well run, clean and right on the beach and has lots of lounge chairs and shade if you want it. The Fiesta on Wed. night was fun for the whole family with Pinatas, mexican dancers, singers and a great mexican buffet. Our room was very nice. The prices for food and drinks were very reasonable at the resort. They have happy hour twice a day. The pools were beautiful and clean and we felt very safe at this resort.

Very friendly staff. Stayed in one of the jumior suites in the newer tower. The rooms in this tower are a little more modern, but there is a bit of noise from the busy street outside. We found the air conditioner fan blocked out the noise at night. Talked with people in the older rooms and they felt the rooms were very clean and well maintained, but looked a bit dated. If you like clean, casual and comfortable, beach resorts with a focus on the beach and pool, this is a good choice. These are extremely nice 3.5 star rooms and would be good for anyone except those preferring high luxury in their rooms. I would return here in a heartbeat. The restaurant is also very good. The timeshare sales people all over this town are a bit annoying, but we just told them we already owned one, or ignored them.

OVER 25 VISITS AND THIS WAS THE BEST YET

I have been going to mazatlan for over 20 years and had yet to stay at the inn at mazatlan. When we got there at 7am our room was not ready. The hotel staff was so helpful in making us as comfortable as possible I felt the need to let others know. I will stay here again and again. The staff was considerably nicer than many of the other hotels I have stayed in. The food was wonderful and the location of the hotel was perfect. All in all it was one of the most pleasurable trips I have taken to mazatlan. I encourage others to enjoy the same wonderful trip that I was fortunate enough to have.

Go somewhere else!!

I have stayed at this hotel several time (timeshare owners), and this last stay will be my last! When we arrived, the front counter staff were very rude! We did not get the room we paid for. We were offered an up grade, which we had to pay an additional $300.00 for. In the upgraded room, the kitchen was flooded, the elivator did not work, the bathroom smelled of sewage, and our fridge was broken.. In addition, my husband asked the staff several time to fix these items and had even asked the hotel manager, and still nothing was done. Further, when going to the restaurant in the hotel, you would wait at least an hour (for each) to place, receive, and pay your bill everytime. We learned to do it alll at one time. The same applys to ordering drinks or food around the pool. They would also charge you for things you did not have and give you things you did not order regularly. Finally, at the end of this nightmare, my husband asked if they were going to compensate us for any of the items that were not fix. The staff told my husband to come back three different times, when finally he said he would not come back to talk about this, he wanted to talk to someone now. The manager brought him into the back room and told him he was not going to do anything about it and WE didn't have to come back.. I have never felt so belittled. So with this in mind, there are several nicer hotels on the same beach who respect their long term customers. Go somewhere else!!

Great Family Hotel - More a Resort

Super friendly, helpful staff. Very, very clean with lush grounds. Lots of kid & adult activities. Right on beach plus two great pools. Safe neighborhood with several restaurants and walk-to shopping. Plenty of space to move around hotel/resort. Great work-out room, spa, business center, restaurant and gift shop. Have stayed here twice and have a third trip planned. Our only complaint are the beds. Mattress' are not always perfect and beach front rooms only have double size beds. The beds are a very small concession considering the rest of the stay and good prices. Easy to relax and have a great time here.
