Great hotel, great location

We booked this hotel based on the great deal we received, and because Marriotts are usually consistent in quality. This hotel did not disappoint. It is a large, convention-style hotel, with all the usual conveniences (Starbucks in the lobby, better-than-average workout facility). We were hoping to find an independent hotel in the Quarter, but were happy to stay at the Marriott for the great rate we got. We asked for a high room and were thrilled to get a corner room on the 38th floor with sweeping views of the river, French Quarter and downtown. Fabulous! The staff were friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the restaurant or order room service (I mean while in NO you must eat the great local food!) but the restaurant looked very nice. The pool was a cool oasis during the HOT afternoons. Location can't be beat!

Best Stay Ever!

My husband and I really had a great time staying this hotel. We had arrived early at 9:00 am and without hesitation they let us check in and even upgraded our room for free. We ended up having a queen size bed on the 37th floor! The view was awsome since there weren't too many buidling as tall as the hotel. Overall, the hotel was clean and the staff was so nice! There is a Starbucks and sushi bar on the first floor. The location was perfect and in walking distance of all the attractions like Cafe du Monde, the cathedral, the river, and Harrah's, and IMAX theather. There is also a neat river mall if you want to shope. We bought a three day trolly pass but only used it twice because everything is so close to the hotel.

Wonderful Experience - Will Definitely Stay Here Again

My Mom and I visited New Orleans during the Memorial Day weekend and we both have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. I've stayed in many nice hotels and this is ranked up there. Convenient location, very clean, good in-house restaurants, great customer service - very friendly and accommodating staff and room was always cleaned immediately. The front desk also took very good care of us and gave us a corner room on the 38th floor so the view was exceptional and it was very spacious! The rooms are great - farily modern design, newer fixtures and accessories, extremely comfortable beds and pillows, nice linen, flat screen television, large hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner/lotion by bath and bodyworks, new bath fixtures, and nice shower head. I used their gym daily and it was very clean. I will definitely stay at this hotel the next time I venture again to New Orleans. And thanks to Travelocity, the entire trip was very reasonable! New Orleans is a fabulous place. Enjoy your stay!

This hotel is a lovely facility! Very pretty and comfortable rooms, good amenities, there's a Starbucks right in the lobby, great services, excellent location (walking distance to great French Quarter restaurants). I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The hotel was right where we wanted to be - near the French Quarter & River Walk for shopping - Easy access to the Super Dome for my son's graduation - The street car in right in front for traveling around New Orleans. The rooms were clean, staff friendly and the pool was quiet nice.
