- Wyoming - where the buffalo roam and the deer and the antelope really DO play - the least populated state in our nation - extremely rural, extremely beautiful - and the second part of this 2 month road trip. We went from Devil's Tower to Yellowstone on this trip.

- This was the question asked of Rangers during our week in Yellowstone National Park. Their answer was always the same "the best time to see bears or any wildlife is early morning and late evening."
We knew this, but only the bears were aware of this time frame.

- Sweeping vistas of rangelands edged by snow fences, distant snow-covered peaks, topped by big skies and clear, invigorating air; the town of Lander lies just east of the Wind River Mountains and Shoshone National Forest. Lander is a flourishing hub combining all-season outdoor recreational activities and Western art and culture.

- History lives in Lander and surroundings. It’s practically impossible to avoid bumping into it at every turn. During July 4th week, we attended a Mountain Man Rendez-vous, visited historic South Pass and Atlantic City, and met members of a pioneer family for whom a town was named.
