- A day long visit to this city in Northern England, has made me appreciate my English neighbor and marvel at the structures it's created.

- Being in York in the winter is a magical experience, with the old, crooked streets, proper tea rooms, and countless Christmas shoppers!

- From Viking Jorvik to a Roman city to present-day York with its medieval walls, it's a city that continues to captivate.

- This is my first real tourist venture into the city since I moved about 20 miles away in February 2005. York is a wonderful medieval city with a long, interesting history and much to see and do!

- York, England is a great place for a day, or two or more. Its medieval charm is wrapped in a wall, protected by a tower and capped by a lofty minster. From its snikelways to its waterways, we enjoyed every minute of our visit.

- York is a wonderful city, one of my favourite places in England. From Romans to Vikings to the Middle Ages, it's a history lesson. By a high speed train, York is only 2h away from London's King's Cross station.

- York has done an amazing job of balancing an effort to retain its Medieval spirit with catering to the tourist trade. The result is comfortable charm.
