Great Vacation/Honeymoon

My husband and I stayed at Las Palmas by the Sea when we went to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon. The resort is not the most luxurious you will find in Puerto Vallarta, but the people who work there are the most friendly people we found. They work very hard to insure that your stay with them is perfect. Every meal has plenty of options for everyone, the drinks are great, and the nightly shows are always entertaining. Las Palmas by the Sea also sits on the best strip of beach on Puerto Vallarta. We visited a few other resorts when we were on excursions and we commented many times that the beach at Las Palmas was the best that we had seen.

The only negative comment I have about the resort is the bed and pillows, which are very hard. We did ask for different pillows and they were right there with new ones to try to make us more comfortable.

If you want friendly faces and service, this is the resort to go to! Oh and reserve a spot it in the grill at least one dinner there, you will not be disappointed!!

Ten times at the same hotel

We started going there in 2001. They have had a turnover in employees and the food declined since the hurricane. After the less tasty food for a couple of years, they have made a genuine effort to improve the food. We were very pleased in April with the variety and the quality of the food. Regarding the employees........ You'll never find better! (Front desk might be improved) But the bartenders, the bell captains, the service staff, the entertainment crew, the food staff are all incredible!!!!

Has changed for the worst

This was 3rd visit. Check in management extremely rude. New ownership since our last trip and management has changed several times. In the past I have enjoyed this resort. Great shows, food good for the price and the rooms what you expect. The food now is terrible. I hear the new chef is having a hard time with his budget.Subway is a better option some days. You are given one bottle of water at check in and are expected fill it up everyday. At 11 pm the lobby bar closes and becomes a cash bar. We have always tipped, but now tip signs are everywhere.

Es the beds and pillows are hard. The room was very clean. Some of the entertainment was very good.Variety of food was quite good for a 31/2 star hotel. The desserts were very good with a great variety. We thought the service from the front desk to the waiters was excellent. We would go back again and recommend it to others.

not fun
