Our hotel room was very nice. Everything was paid for when we arrived and when they asked for credit card and we didn't have one, they put * on our debit card. We used * and then had to wait for over two weeks and phone call to get our money back. I feel in this ecomeny that some people don" choose to use credit cards and pay the high % rates and I feel that the front desk personal treated us different. it was the body laugage that they young lady used that upset me. I used to work for Omini Corp and if any of my staff would have treated a guest any different if they had bluejeans on or a suit on, they would have been talk too. Our food is very over priced $5.00 for cup of tea to go is little overboard. The evening that we returned from our dinner at Morton Restaurant we went up to the lounge and the bartender was ok, but then we moved to a table and never did see our server. Both my husband and I have been in the restaurant business for over 35 years and I have to say the service wasn't very good. That evening when we returned it was raining and the doormen never afford some assisstants, they just stood there .

This was my family's first trip to Chicago. We wanted to see a game at Wrigley Stadium and decided to stay a few days downtown. We had a great experience at the Omni. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We had a good view from the 17th floor. Our room (we had a suite) was beautiful and super clean. But the best part about the hotel is the location. It is right in the middle of the Magnificant Mile. Many attractions are within walking distance--the navy pier, the loop, the John Hancock Observatory. We took the el (subway) and bus to the museums, but they are not far (except the Museum of Science and Industry). When you go, do not miss the parks by the water. The Cloud Gate ( a giant silver bean-shaped sculpture) and the Buckingham Fountain are awesome. By the way, so was Wrigley Field!

The hotel is very clean. Housekeeping turns your bed down at night and makes sure every need is met. They have restaurants available and a great bar that overlooks the "Magnificent Mile." It is beautiful at night and there is an indoor pool and fitness center.
The concierge cannot do enough and the staff is extremely courteous.
We were very pleased with this hotel and would definely stay there again.

We stayed at the Omni from Feb. 12-15 and it was wonderful. We arrived early and checked in immediately and stayed on the top floor in a large luxurious suite. The location was convenient to the bus down Michigan Avenue so we were able to get to museums, restaurants, and parks easily. The staff was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly. Breakfast at the 676 restaurant was fresh and delicious with a huge variety to select from. The staff went out of their way to be kind and courteous. We definitely recommend the Omni hotel!
GREAT HOTEL!

I took my boyfriend for his birthday in December '08. We had an amazing time and the Omni was definitely a great choice. I agonized for weeks about which hotel to stay at (it always seemed that just as I was about to pick one, a really negative review would pop up!) I had no reason to worry. I upgraded to the one big room instead of the small suite (the charge to upgrade varied anywhere from $* to $*, depending on the day and time I looked it up) and I was very happy with the room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the view was nice and the location was absolutely amazing. We were within walking distance of almost everythig (and even when we took a cab, it was never more than $10). We didn't go to the gym or pool but we did eat at the restaurant. The brunch was amazing but we went for an afternoon snack and it was a little disappointing. They didn't have any of the "usual bar foods" and popcorn (which was delicious) and a cheese plate cost us around $30. The staff was incredibly nice, always greeting us and patient and helpful with directions and advice on where to go/eat/visit. We also were able to check in about an hour early and check out an hour late with no problem. The front desk also held our bags after we checked out so we could sightsee before we went to the airport. There is no place you can stay where everyone will be satisfied all the time, but as far as our visit went, for the price, I would absolutely stay at the Omni again.
