We were a little apprehensive regarding the reviews we had read on line but..... we had a GREAT experience. The hotel was VERY conviently located near EVERYTHING! We had our kids ages 16 & 11 and they loved it. If I had to say or find anything the only issue I could see was that it had not been vacummed around the edges of the carpet around the room as there were lots of dust bunnies on the edges but everything else was clean and the beds were comfy. The maid forgot to leave enough towels one day but the supervsior was down the hall and brought some right away to our room. EXCELLENT location and a great stay for our vacation! Would definlty stay here again!

I've stayed in NYC on several occasions and I've always wanted to stay at this Hilton. I have to say for the most part I was not disappointed. We were in town for a show at Radio City Music Hall and this hotel is just down from it. We loved the room even though it was a bit small but we had a great view. We paid extra to include breakfast which was wonderful. What a huge choice of breakfast foods, they even had several choices for their Japanese guests. Our disappointment was in the lounge.

Perfect location to 5th ave shopping, theaters, dining, everything is within walking distance. we had a king suite on the 42nd floor, and were so happy with the room size! much larger than we expected!!!!! very very comfortable! complimentary breakfast and afternoon snacks were a plus.......did not eat at the hotel restaurants, because there are soooo many other places to go, why just eat at your hotel!??
Very clean, fairly quiet (42nd floor helped!) staff was awesome, concierge was very helpful, and patient and made several reservations for us at restaurants... excellent managing of the crazy taxi and limo's at the entryway! staff was on top of it all.

I was very disappointed at the very end of our trip when we needed Hilton to hold our luggage for a few hours after check out but prior to our flight. They charged us $3.50 per item! I've traveled all over the world and have never encountered such poor customer service. It's complimentary in almost every other hotel in the world as a courtesy.

Was expecting more from the name and the costs but got less and was charged through the roof for everything. So below I'll list the pros and cons with absolutely no exaggerations:
Pros:
Perfect location...was able to walk to all major points of the area in minutes.
Room conditions were good and bed was comfortable.
Check in and out was quick once it was your turn.
All parts of the hotel were pleasant to look at and observe.
Elevators always opened within seconds, no long waits.
Very secure and comforting.
Cons:
Only one gentleman at the front desk seemed to make you feel welcomed, the rest looked down upon you and mostly gave seniority to the "richer" guests in hopes of large tips...obviously.
Nothing was complimentary besides the coffee, toiletries, and paper.
You had to pay to use the fitness room and there’s no pool.
All services and dining are extremely expensive and not worth it for the price, but why dine or get massaged at your hotel when there’s a whole city of attractions to see and do.
Room was kinda cramped and a bit outdated for a "Hilton" and again...$$$.
And the one that pushed me over the top was the hotel parking costs and Valets, one guy was very unprofessional, careless, and rude. This guy insisted he park my vehicle when I wanted to myself (which is ok at the Sheraton), then when I let him park it I go back that night to grab stuff out of my truck only to find the windows rolled down and my keys thrown on the front seat...are you kiddin me! Then he gets mad cause I drove out myself...another valet had to contain him! on top of that I was charged $50 for 20hrs.
Staying at Sheraton next time
