It's a fun street to walk on and see lot of different shops, from high-end to affordable shops.
The time I was there, they had lots of painted cow statues, which was fun to see.

A long street full of small expensive boutiques, as well as French Connection and Steve Madden and cheap second-hand CD stores, artsy places, and lots of cafes. It is a fun place.

Newbury Street seems like the place to see and be seen in Boston. The street is spotted with happening outdoor cafes and the upscale shops are complimented nicely by the brownstone architecture that reminds you of Boston's rich history.

You won't find Home Depot here or many bargains. This is all high-end merchandise, with famous brands from Gucci to Benetton, art and antiques stores galore (too many to mention), the usual GAP, and even a CVS (drug store). The holiday season is a very special time of year, with decor, lights, and nip of winter in the air. Make sure you visit just before evening to get a taste of old street-lighting fixtures, sprinkled bright lights throughout the street. See photos. There are restaurants on every corner, and most shops are open till 9pm. Parking on the street is metered at 25 cents for 15 minutes, so bring your quarters for up to two hours' parking at a time.

Well this is a great place to take an afternoon stroll and do some window shopping. The clothing stores are quite expensive, but very interesting to look at from the outside. This is really quite a charming street. In the summer, the sidewalk is full of cafes which are great to do some people watching and such. There are also some very nice cars to see if that interests you. In any case, it is definitely worth seeing if you are in the Copley or Boston Commons areas.
