Since I am from Boston, I know the ins and outs of the city. Boston is a great college town to hang around during the school season, and in the summer it comes alive with concerts and tourists.

Beautiful Boston

Overview

There are lots of great things to do depending on the time of year your journey falls on: if you go during the winter then bring lots of warm clothes because Boston is best seen by foot. No matter when you go I would start out with the freedom trail, it's a great way to begin to see the city and you can't get lost when following a red line!!

Quick Tips:

My suggestion would be to enjoy the different places Boston has to offer, such as Fanueil Hall, Newbury Street, the Boston Commons, Haymarket, Downtown Crossing, China Town, and nest of all the North End.

Best Way To Get Around:

Definitely a walking city!! However, the Duck tours from the Prudential are fun too.
The rooms with a water view are magnificent!! They are definitely worth the price. I guess you have to pay well for a great view of the harbor.

La Famiglia's

Restaurant

Well this is a great place just off the main drag, Hanover street, in the north end. The amount of food that you are served is ridiculous, there is no way to finish off your plate!! There tends to be a line unless you go fairly early or after 8:30, however there is a little bar across the street so you can hang out there until your table is ready.

Newbury Street

Activity

Well this is a great place to take an afternoon stroll and do some window shopping. The clothing stores are quite expensive, but very interesting to look at from the outside. This is really quite a charming street. In the summer, the sidewalk is full of cafes which are great to do some people watching and such. There are also some very nice cars to see if that interests you. In any case, it is definitely worth seeing if you are in the Copley or Boston Commons areas.

Fanueil Hall

Activity

This is something you just have to experience if you are in Boston even only for a day. This is a great area that is always full of people. There are some shops for some clothes such as GAP, Abercrombie, Bath and Body Works, and such...But the inside of Quincy Market is actually what is unique- there are about 100 food vendors that sell every kind of food you could ever want.
