Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner & Show

This is always a great show. The last time we were there was five years ago, so the show was new to us and very entertaining. We did a timeshare tour and got our tickets for 10 dollars each ($75 savings). Tickets are usually around 45 dollars each plus tax, it is worth the full price. The meal is hands on (no silverware) but delicious, and they bring you a warm cloth to clean up after the meal.

The Dixie Stampede is pricey but a lot of fun! It's fast paced enough to keep the kids entertained and the food is great. The before dinner show they encourage you to go to is fun but it's really just a way to keep you in the building longer so you'll buy more.

It was great. We went without our kids because we happended to have free tickets, but we will definitely be taking the kids to see it. It's a little pricey, but you get a huge meal with admission. There's a whole roasted chicken, a slice of smoked pork loin, half a roasted potato, creamy vegetable soup, corn on the cob, a biscuit, an apple turnover, tea, Pepsi, and coffee. And the food is wonderful. The show itself is great--non-stop action--and there is a pre-show about an hour before the main show that is included with admission also. We will definitely go back.

This is a definite family event. From the moment you park the car and walk to the mansion entryway an air of excitement is all around. We talked to the horses and trainers outside. The pre-show was a wonderful magic act. Once into the grand arena and seated the "party" begins. It's the North against the South once again. Our waiter was our leader as shouting matches were loud and often. The show kept our 9-month-old grand baby enthralled for 1.5 hours. The food was out of this world delicious. We did not win the fight this time but had a great time anyhow.

After running in in a total downpour and having at least 10 people, including my husband and girls clap and say "Good job, Mom!" after parking the car, we wnt in late and were taken to our seats. Dinner was already being served and the show had started. Both of our girls (Katie 22 months and Maggie 3.5 years) did not move other than to eat -- they thought it was great with the horses the racing pigs and the cool costumes. I was worried they were too little, but everything turned out great.
