We went Christmas shopping in Branson and found a shopaholic's dream! Stayed at Big Cedar Wilderness Club

This was our first time staying in a resort. The resort met our every expectation, from courteous staff to luxurious accommodations. The Dixie Stampede was very entertaining. The BIGGEST highlight was the shopping; there is something for everyone at the outlet malls. We visited a two-level outlet mall with 90 stores--it was huge.

Branson is quickly becoming our favorite place to visit; this was our second trip, and we are already making plans for a third trip in June. There is something for everyone in Branson. If you so choose, you can go for some R&R, shop til you drop, eat well, and see a variety of exciting shows.

Quick Tips:

It was very cold while we were shopping the outlet malls, cutting our shopping trip short. Dress according to the weather when shopping. Plan an itinerary for what you wish to do.

Best Way To Get Around:

Don't take shortcuts around Branson to dodge traffic in the evening hours unless you know the route. Otherwise, the traffic relief routes are an excellent means of dodging traffic.

The accommodations were exactly what we expected. We stayed in a one-bedroom unit, and it was just like being at home. We had a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and full kitchen. There was a fireplace in the living room that my husband lit quite often. We had a Jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. LOTS of SPACE! Beautifully decorated. Can't wait to return in June.

We had a ball! My parents went with us, along with our 11-year-old, and we all had a great time. We saw the Christmas show. It was well worth the money. They also took our picture when we arrived, so we have a momento of our visit. The food was excellent. If you leave there hungry, it's your own fault. The service was entertaining and very accommodating. There are no eating utensils here. Everyone eats with their hands! Lots of fun. My mother even ate with her hands, even though she had carried utensils in her purse!

Restaurant

This is a seafood buffet. They had two types of crablegs, frog legs, fried and boiled shrimp, crawfish, fried fish, BBQ ribs, chicken strips, salads, and vegetables, as well as two desserts. If you go away hungry, you must not like seafood. Everything on the buffet was good.
