Description: This price is on standard rooms in off season. Our VP suite ran $399 per night year round. The furnishings were incredible. A kitchen with coffe maker (no coffee) and fridge and basket filled with goodies make up the mini-bar.
Granite counters in kitchen and bath. Country French furnishings with faux painted walls gave the ultimate European feel. Incredible views of the lake were to be had from both the bedroom and the living area. Computer ready, you could conduct business, but why would you? The jacuzzi tub awaits. And the ameninity package is Hermes, as in Paris, France. Armoirs hold television sets in both rooms, gorgeous rustic tile floors, lined with fabulous rugs decorate the room so beautifully, you don''t want to leave. My fingernails imprints are still in the door of room 1005!
There is a work-out room with all the upstate equipment you could want opened 24 hours, an indoor and outdoor pool with jacuzzis also opened 24-7. And a marina where you can rent pontoon boats/ ski boats and scuba dive! Two gift shops adorn the property. There are winding waterfalls throughout the lobby areas with cages of exotic birds singing, as you sip your glass of wine and enjoy a homemade pizza, am I in Italy or France? I really can''t decide....
There is a wonderful playground for children and a Crawdaddies Kids Club. Send them there.
The note inside the room caught my attention. It reads: "In ancient times there was a prayer for ''the stranger within our gate.'' Because this hotel is a human institution to serve people and not soley a money-making organization, we hope the God will grant you peace and rest while you are under our roof. May this suite and hotel be your 2nd home. May those you love be near you in thoughts and dreams. May the tranquility and the simplicity of the Ozarks add to your joy. When you leave may your journey be safe. We are all travelers. From ''birth til death'' we travel between eternities. May these days bring joy."
