Once a meeting place for the leading modernists in Barcelona, Els Quatre Gats (The Four Cats) is one of the more expensive places in town, but well worth it. Once a meeting place for leading and aspiring artists, Els Quatre Gats can boast of being (among others) the place of the first exhibition of a young Pablo Picasso.
Restored to its original appearance by the current owners, the restaurant offers great atmosphere, good food and excellent service. It can get pretty packed tho, so choose your time carefully.
