i love it! its all i have to say. we loved it so much. the rooms were clean the pool was beautiful the beach was footsteps away from the hotel and the service was awesome. everyone tried to help us with everything they could. yea its not walking distance from entertainment but you can take the bus or the taxis anywhere. we prefered the bus, it was something new. and on the ride downtown you always met new people. and you got to know of new places and things to try. i super recommend it. i know it sounds like im exagerating but i swear we really loved it.

Best Vacation Ever!!!

My family and I stayed at the Villa Del Palmar Flamingos Resort and Spa from Sunday April 26th thru Friday May 1st, 2009 and we had a blast! When we first arrived in town, we caught a cab to the resort. (The airport is very far from the resort, and the cab drivers will allow you to haggle the price) When we got to the hotel, i was impressed. The bell boy greeted us with cool towels, and cool fruit drinks and took our bags before we even got out of the car. The check in went smooth, and I asked the receptionist for a room with a great view. We were put in a one bedroom suite facing the pool! On the first night we did have some problems though, there were small ants on the kitchen counter, they sent someone to spray those immediately, later we realized that our jacuzzi tub did not work. There was no water. After calling the front desk repeatedly and getting the run around we were moved to a room next door. Again, there was a problem with the jacuzzi tub, this time the drain didn't work, and the tub wouldn't hold the water. Finally I took a trip downstairs found a repairman and got it fixed. The next morning I complained to the manager and got comped for the beach party Wednesday night. (for a family of 4 the price is about $170) so I was happy with the comp. After our rocky start the rest of the stay was wonderful! We hung by the pool, and ate all week. We visited PV and a few small towns, it wasn't worth it. We spent a lot on cab fare. Overall we had a great time. The kids loved it! Great hotel!

One of the best resorts we have stayed at

Great rooms and views! Fantastic food at great prices -- spa experience was one of the best - totally worth it! We had a couples massage and then I had a healing body wrap later in the week. They hydration room is fantastic!! Service is super. The only irritating thing was that our room was right above the lobby and the noise at night and in the early morning was fairly easily drown out by the airconditioning. There is a lot of "saving spots" at the pool even though there are signs stating there is no saving lounge chairs. If there are no spots by the pool, find a hotel employee, and they will gladly locate a lounge chair for you. Very good service. Great walk on the beach to Bucerias for fun drinks and food on the beach and great flea market! Dugarels was the best!! (far end of the beach in Bucerias - light green pain on side of the building) Fantastic food - best on the beach We traveled into PV mainly by city bus - only 15 pesos compared to a taxi for 220 pesos. Be sure to eat at the Cheeky Moneky - Fantastic $1 margaritas and $1 coronas - appetizers are raelly good, especially the spinach dip!! You can find it on the Malecon across from the ladder statue. We sat up on the top floor and watched the sunset several nights - fantastic view and pictures - if you are there around 7pm the Pirate ship shoots off fireworks to enjoy!! Best prices on Tequila are at the Vallarta Mart on the Malecon strip of shops. We looked all over and priced them. We will stay here again!

We had an amazing time at the Villa del Palmar Flamingos, from beginning to end. My husband and I traveled with our 18 year old, and 15 year old twins, and we loved it. We were in a 2 bedroom suite, which is actually 3 huge rooms, including 2 kitchens, 3 baths, 3 showers, and a washer/dryer. The staff was excellent, the resort itself is gorgeous, and the beach and pools were outstanding. There is not a thing I would change about the trip. We did rent a car so that the 5 of us could go into Puerto Vallarta or the Marina area whenever we wanted, and driving turned out to be no problem at all. We got groceries at the Mega (very fun store!) and did a combo of cooking and eating out. We even found a good recipe for baby octopus and cooked that, after my daughter found it interesting at the Mega. :0) If you go north on the beach, you can walk all the way to Bucerias, which has restaurants and shops- it's more "rustic" than Puerto Vallarta. It's about a 35 minute leisurely walk in the ocean/ on the beach. We ate at the Canadian sports bar, YoYo Mo's 3 times while we were in Bucerias - there food was awesome! Fantastic pizza!

Best damn Resort for the Price

All I can saw is WOW about the resort. It was by far the best resort I went to. My only issue is the food there but thats my fault not theirs, im a really really really picky eater but I still found something to eat. I only had problems eating after 10:30 when the pizza joint closed. The pics do not do the Resort justice. It was much more than I expected. The pics actually make the room look smaller, I had the 1 bedroom suite and it was amazing. It had a washer and dryer in the room, full kitchen, bathroom with shower, dinning room and living room area, murphy bed all in the the outside area. In the actual bedroom, it had a whirlpool, shower, bathroom, his and her sink, king size bed and closet with safe. The pool was the largest Ive seen, it was like a double pool with 2 kiddie pool, with water jets kinda all mixed into one lol. I always try to go to different spots or resorts when I go outta town to the same place but I think I actually will hit the Flamingos again next when I go back to Vallarta. It really was the best for the price. My only problem was that the bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked it to be but it still was fine. The staff was soooo soooo helpful and nice. The location was cool, not too far from the downtown area but not tooo close either. Long story short, I loved it.
