My husband and I were in Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend celebrating our 26th wedding anniversary. The Bellagio was everything I expected and MORE!! Upon check- in we were asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and we told them about our anniversary and they upgraded us to a Lake View room. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the staff was AWESOME and the food was DELICIOUS!! We ate at the FIX and it was worth the price. I highly recommend the Bellagio when visiting Vegas!!
The ONLY place to stay on the strip!

Just came back from 4 days at the Bellagio. I have worked in Hotels/Hospiatlity for over 25 years in senior managment. This hotel far exceeds any expectation on any level (by LAX terms, lets face it...none of em are descrete kind of places..lol).
The service is sensational given the enormous capacity of the place. Eating out is pricey, but the buffet is excellent (food wise) although like them all, a bit scarey at times...lol.
A beautifully run hotel and a pleasure being a guest....the only place to stay on the strip.......Bellagio, what a top pub!....i didn't want to come home.

Squeaky clean, beautiful, and restrained decor (by Vegas standards) with 100% pure luxury. Best of all, the hotel staff really came through for me. I lost my backpack and they bent over backwards to find it for me and they did. The hotel staff was always polite. The rooms were amazing and I got great views. The bathtub was super deep. It's a great thing to sit in a super hot bath after a day of walking. The pools were fun and the garden was wonderful. I loved the Chihuly glass ceiling and his other works sprinkled throughout the hotel. The fine dining restaurants like Picasso was expensive but wonderful.and worth it. Go for the tasting menu. You won't regret it. The absence of the overwhelming hit-you-on-the-head theme park feel appealed to me. Bellagio acted and felt like a real hotel with a pinch of fantasy. Slight restraint in theme and decor went a long way to creating the feeling of real luxury. I found that getting on their mailing list way in advance lead to great discount coupons on your rooms and the Cirque du Solei show O that they have there. I wouldn't recommend the place for children though. There's little to do after swimming, looking at the pretty Chihuly glass and wandering around the small garden and art gallery.I'd say it's great for adults who want romantic trysts, getaways, and just kicking back and relaxing in a medium sized room with a big ultra comfy bed. I didn't use the convention facilities, the wedding chapel or the fitness center, but I passed by them and they looked great. Pool was shallow which disappointed me, but I definitely would stay there again.
Disappointed

Waited in line for 50 minutes to check in. Room booked 4 months in advance requesting non-smoking room. We were given a smoking, handicapped room. Were told that was all that was available. Absolutely no counter space/shelves in bathroom due to handicapped. Very limited closet space. A/C not working properly. Chairs & carpet stained. Definitely not what you would expect at a five star hotel! Stayed at Monte Carlo last trip to Vegas - room was much nicer/cleaner for less money!
