FANTASTIC

We just returned from this hotel and it was absolutely fantastic!! The staff is great and extremely helpful. We had a beautiful room with a pool and ocean view on the 9th floor. The restaurants were not that bad but there are so many restaurants in the vicinity to choose from. The lobby bar kicks up at night with a live salsa band and DJ who are both great. We just returned yesterday and we are already planning our next trip at the San Juan Marriott for the Labor Day weekend!!!

Wonderful hotel and service (Some advice)

The hotel was wonderful. There were a lot of kids at the pool so you may want to hang out at the beach. The hotel puts a * per night hold on your credit card for incidentals. Make sure to use a credit card versus a debit card. If you use a debit card, they take the money out versus putting a hold and then it takes 40 hours for the money to be put back into your account once you check out. Don't purchase the Bacardi Factory Tour. This tour is free if you take a bus which costs $0.75 and the bus stop is steps away from the hotel. We had a great time celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary and besides the tours, we walked to all the local restaurants for food. Food in the area of the hotel tends to be a little pricy so be prepared. Most dinner entrees range from around * however, an entree can easily be split between two people.

San Juan Marriott Review

We enjoyed our stay in San Juan at the Marriott. We had some problems with our air conditioner, but they sent someone right away to fix it. The ocean view room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the Buena Vista even though it was a bit pricey. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. The fitness room was awesome...absolutely the best we've ever used. We didn't care for the casino, but that's not really our thing anyway. The location was good, but we did have some concerns about the area being more run down than we anticipated, but we were close to shopping, eating, and transportation. The travel desk was wonderful and we enjoyed the San Juan and Barcardi tour very much.

Good times at Sheraton Old San Juan

We found the hotel to be excellent in every respect. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were courteous and attentive. Rooms were quiet with no noise filtering in from neighboring rooms. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown old San Juan. It is very easy to walk to restaurants, shops and historic sites. Although the brunch was very expensive, the food was top notch. The concierge was very helpful in arranging a tour. DBM

Musty and outdated!

Stayed one night and thank goodness it was only one night! I had am AWFUL allergic reaction to the mold in our hotel room and the musty smell seemed to permeate throughout the hotel! The hotel needs a desperate renovation and new air conditioning! The area also doesn't seem that safe (there were security guards all over the property)
