Bali club

Bali nightclub was new to Playa del Carmen, so of course we wanted to go check it out. At first the scene was fairly mellow, great music but not many people but as the night got later, the dance floor filled up. To begin with the crowd was very mixed, but by 4am we were the only gringos dancing.

All in all a great club, with Indonesian inspired decor and a good sound system. The music did tend to vary rather drastically from deep house, vocal trance, to local pop (all the locals were singing along to pop tunes we had never heard), then from Black Eyed Peas to YMCA (really, they honestly did play this one !!!!!).

As with many clubs in Playa the entrance fee seemed to vary, depending on who was entering the club with you and how you were dressed.

At Bali this time we got in for free… others in the group paid $10, and others still paid $30 but got an "all you can drink" wristband.

Bali was more like a club you would find anywhere else in the states as it was multi-level, eclectic DJ, and indoor air-conditioned, but we did have a fun night and it made a change from the outdoor beach bars on a humid night.

As the club is so new it has yet to get a website, but it's located opposite La Santanera club on 12th between 5th and 10th.
