My boyfriend and I just returned from a 4 night 5 day stay at Secrets Capri and we had a great vacation. The reviews are very accurate and surprisingly the food and service has not suffered because of H1N1. We ate and drank everything that was served to us and didn't have any stomach problems (except when we drank too much alcohol). The all inclusiveness of this resort can not be understated. Even the drinks in the minifridge of the room are complementary! All the restaurants serve very good food, but if you're a foodie you may be a little disappointed after reading some of the reviews here. We thought the food was very good but not the best we've ever had. Himitsu is especially good but make sure you reserve a spot at the hibachi grill one night. Probably the best food was the ceviche served outside at the taco and ceviche bar.
Our room was very nice (we were upgraded from tropical to partial beach view for free) and it was fabulous. We tipped in USDs eventhough it was not expected. Take your ethernet cable for free internet in your room. My Mac fit in the safe and we brought our iPod connector and used it to play music on the stereo/radio.
The weather is something to be mindful of. It's the rainy season so we got 2 days of blissful sunny weather and 2 days of rain. We took advantage of the rainy days to go on the extreme Mayan tour which was guaranteed rain or shine. We went to the Tulum ruins, zip lining, and repelling as part of the tour and it was great - one of the highlights of our trip.
All in all, a great vacation for a great price!

If you are looking for a relaxing trip with no worries this is the place to stay. Everything was great from the moment we stepped onto the property. If you are in question or where to stay or spend you money. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.
The was one of the best vacations we have experienced and the other guest we met were saying the same thing.
Great rooms, views, service, food, and beach.
First class.

Enjoyed our stay. Extremely relaxing and the staff was there for every need. The room was very clean and always maintained to our satisfaction. The food was incredible and always presented in a professional manner. They could relax on the mens dress code and maybe let the men wear dress shorts instead of dress pants). We loved the calmness of the resort and hope to return again. Love to come here again with friends or alone.

My husband & I just returned from our 20th anniversary trip to Secrets in Playa Del Carmen we just loved the hotel. We found when we got there we were upgraded to a pool side room with a special banner on the door for our anniversary and flowers. Room was spotless and large with a sitting area , balcony and large bathroom ( jacuzzi tub and nice shower). Service here is remarkable everything you needed was brought to you quickly they had poolside service which was great. The food was the best I have ever had at a resort. We ate at the buffet for breakfast and lunch at the grill by the ocean. Dinner was exceptional at all the restaurants,
Italian was our favorite. We had dinner on the beach for our anniversary that was wonderful and an experience we will never forget. ( you do pay extra for this).
I would certainly go back again
I would recommend this hotel ( adults only) to to anyone that was thinking of taking a relaxing vacation and you want to go somewhere to be pampered.

we stayed at Secrets Capri from April 1st-April 7th and it was incredible. The resort is beautiful from the lobby, to the rooms, to the pool, to the beach. Everything is very clean and the staff go out of their way to make you feel taken care of. I have never been to a hotel where the staff was so friendly and hospitable. The food was great at Hitmitsu and Portofino. You have to dress up a little bit to go to these restaurants, but not too much. My husband wore jeans and a collar shirt and he was let in. Tips were included but everyone did such a fine job in serving us that we felt bad not tipping; they deserved it. There is only one pool but it is quite large, and we never had a problem finding lounge chairs, and we never had to wake up early to get them (we would generally get to the pool around 11:30. The beach was beautiful and we also never had a a problem finding a little tiki hut to sit under. The bathrooms were beautiful and clean; our rooms were cleaned daily and mini bar was restocked daily. The maid service noticed that my husband was smoking cigars and they left him a carton on one occasion , which was a nice touch. Great place to stay to relax and just unwind and enjoy the beautiful resort and the excelllent service.
