Best Things Nearby:
The shows on Highway 76 and good restaurants. Palace View is very conveniently located.

Best Things About the Resort:
This is a family friendly resort. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. We loved the indoor heated pool.

Resort Experience:
We had a two bedroom, two bath, lock-off unit. It was very nicely decorated and very comfortable. Palace View is a well-deserved Gold Crown Resort. The resort offers a Sunday breakfast buffet for $5 per adult, and there are a few activities scheduled during the week but you are pretty much on your own for entertainment. The resort is changing to Interval International this year and will no longer be affiliated with RCI.

Best Things Nearby:
Of course, in Branson, it's the shows and the food--both plentiful and reasonably priced!

Best Things About the Resort:
It was clean and there was a clubhouse with an indoor pool and Internet (free) close at hand. It was centrally located to the strip (about a 3-minute drive).

Resort Experience:
We stayed in a one-bedroom lock-off, little cozy for four adults, but it worked out well. The mini kitchen had everything we needed. We ate in half the time. There was an indoor pool, billiards, and Internet access. We saw a number of shows. Pierce-Arrow was the best show of the four we saw (if you like four-part harmony a la Statlers)! We would recommend the Great Wall if you like a superb Chinese buffet.

Best Things Nearby:
Lake, food, shows, and beautiful countryside.

Best Things About the Resort:
Swimming area, activities, and extremely friendly staff. You are close to everything. and yet not too close to the high-traffic areas.

Resort Experience:
This is truly the best resort that we have ever stayed at, including our home resorts. It deserves a Gold Crown status and more. We were treated wonderfully from the moment we checked in until we checked out.

We visited in July 2004 (I know I am late writing this journal), and it was hot but not unbearable. I called the resort directly several weeks before we arrived with some specific requests - close to pool, first floor, non-smoking (child has asthma), and baby requests (crib). They delivered on each and every request. They have gas grills located outside the fenced-in pool area, which is a treat instead of having to purchase charcoal. We found that we grilled more than we normally would because of this convenience (less mess and quicker). I wish more resorts would do this. The outdoor swimming area had a volleyball net in the pool, which was always being used and promoted lots of interaction with other guests. They also had a ping-pong table poolside, which was great. They had lots of scheduled activities for both kids and adults.

We traveled with our three kids (one was 2½ months old) and my sister, her husband, and their two kids. We all had a fabulous time, and this was the most relaxing vacation we have ever had.

The unit was very spacious, well maintained, and stocked with amenities. It was very nice to have two kitchens (one was a mini-kitchen and the other one was a full kitchen). Very nicely decorated and quiet. We did not hear any other guests in their units.

The area has lots to do, even if you do not want to go to any shows. Table Rock Lake is huge and wonderful to visit. We rented a boat for the afternoon and had a great time. The Fish Hatchery was a good spot for children, and Riding the Ducks is a must for both adults and children. You will have a great selection of restaurants to choose from. The resort provides you sample menus from tons of restaurants, so you can review them in the comfort of your unit and then make a decision.

If you are thinking about visiting Branson, MO, I highly suggest that you stay at this resort. We toured other resorts in the area when we were there and did not see anything better. You will have a wonderful time.

All the sights of Branson

Best Things About the Resort:
EVERYTHING!

Resort Experience:
We spent more time at the resort than planned, as hubby took ill and was in a hospital in Branson, so the unit we had was a comfortable, great HOME. The bed was just like sleeping on a cloud. The staff was terrific, and there was a wonderful pool.

Couldn't ask for a larger accommodation. There were 4 TVs and a fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked and it also had a stacked W/D. The bathroom was big with a separate whirlpool tub and 2-person stand alone shower.
