Description: Pros: Staff are very helpful and will even print out directions to local attractions for you. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are well-appointed. There are bottles of shampoo, lotion, two kinds of soap, a shower cap, Tazo Tea and Starbucks coffee in your room.
Cool Extras: you can also request a goldfish in a bowl, a bamboo plant, or a lava lamp for use in your room during your stay. The front of the hotel has cool outdoor chairs like those used by William Shatner and James Spader in Boston Legal at the end of each show.
Dining: we enjoyed breakfast in the dining room. The prices are great ($8.50 for an omelet or the breakfast buffet when they have it) and the food tastes good. The orange juice is fresh-squeezed and only costs $2. Other local eateries charge almost $4.50 for fresh-squeezed juice.
Property: the property is currently undergoing renovations that are scheduled to be completed in June 2007. We did not experience any trouble with noise while the renovations were occurring while in our room. The renovations are starting on the top floors and going down. The lobby also has carpet pulled up, which makes it cool because until the carpet is replaced you can sign the foundation. The front desk provides guests with colored Sharpie markers. Once the renovation is completed, the hotel will have a very modern flair.
Cons: parking is limited, so you may experience trouble finding a spot if there is an event going on. Also, the location is near the airport, which means you may hear an occasional plane flying overhead.
Overall Opinion: this is a great place to stay if you have a car. We will definitely book a stay here again once the renovations are completed.
My advice? Book it now and save $ during the renovations.
