Good Place on the Wharf

The Hyatt was a good place to stay. Location was good: a block or two removed from the "strip" so it was quieter and a block removed from the cable-car stop. The hotel and room were modern, in good condition, and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant, a sports bar, seemed a bit pricey, but it may have been the norm for a wharf restaurant. There were two cafes right across the street that made for a much less expensive breakfast. The fitness center was great: well-equipped with cardio, free weights, etc., and with open floor space to spare. We didn't care for the business center, since they charged, if I recall correctly, $6.95 for 15 minutes of internet access. Any more these days, we believed it should have been complimentary service, considering what you pay for a room. What others have commented about the parking charges are correct -- we didn't rent a car. At the right price -- we stayed on a AAA promotional rate -- we would stay here again.

My adult daughter took me to San Francisco for a Mother's Day getaway. We had a marvelous time in large part due to this hotel. It was a great location, the rooms were spacious and clean and the staff was wonderful. If anything at all was missing it would be a continental breakfast. Other than that it was perfect. The concierge was helpful and knowledgeable and the rest of the staff was efficient. It is too bad that there was no airport shuttle, but the hotel had a car which we availed ourselves of and it wasn't too much more than the super shuttle and much more direct. I would definitely stay here again.

I was totally impressed with my stay at the Hyatt Fisherman's Wharf. From the moment I walked in the door until I checked out, the staff was always helpful and courteous. The rooms were very clean. The location was great. You are within walking distance from the Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, the cable car stop and Pier 33 to catch the ferry over to Alcatraz. I would high recommend this hotel and would definately return when I am in San Francisco again.

When we were greeted by the front desk, we were very impressed with the pleasant and professional nature of all the staff in the lobby. We stayed in one of the room surrounding the pool and we were appreciative that we weren't disturbed by any of the other guests using the pool. The hotel was close, two blocks, to the Wharf; convenient to In-N-Out, Peir 39,and public transportation to places like the "Exploratorium". The bar in the building, accessible from the hotel lobby, has great salads and fish & chips and shares the kitchen with hotel room service. Overall, our stay was enjoyable, and "the City" was full of very friendly strangers.

Great hotel, great location. Right around the corner from a cable car turn-around. In the heart of Fisherman's wharf, We wound up walking back to the hotel from union square. Short distance from Chinatown, Coit Tower, Alcatraz tour docks, Pier 39, Ghiaredelli Square, Aquatic Park, Lombard St, and many more. Cab fare under $10.00 to Presidio, Union Square without traffic. Staff is extremely helpful and nice. Rooms are modern and clean. The beds are very comfortable. I have nothing bad to say about this place or San Francisco. Would definately stay here again.
