Sound Slumber

The room was luxuriously comfortable and quite welcomed after a long day of flying and meetings. I had a wonderfully sound slumber my one night there. The staff was more than helpful and quite pleasant. The meeting rooms were also business friendly and yet comfortable. The lower lobby has an amazing water fountain and a stained glass over lighting. It also has a mini art gallery along the perimiter wall near the fireplace. A very good place to read. The only flop in this hotel is Knuckles, the restaurant. While the breakfast was good and full of not only carbs but fruits, the dinner was pricey and unsavory. I would reccomend you skip eating dinner there.
Very good location...great and helpful staff

People working at Hyatt at Fisherman's Wharf were very friendly. Room was very clean. But valet parking costs more than $45 (including tax) per night and I think it's too much. My room was on a third floor and kids were screaming and running around in a hallway at night, but nobody seemed to be interested in controlling them. It is very close to Fisherman's Wharf and I loved a small sports bar on a first floor of the hotel. You can find coupons on a table in your room. Bring them to the bar. Overall, I think the money I had paid wasn't worth it. Next time, I'd stay at Best Western Tuscan at Fishermans Wharf. It is much closer to Fishermans Wharf.
Two thumbs up for this Hyatt

This hotel is in a prime location - a few blocks from Ghirardelli Square and Fisherman's Wharf. The beds are SO comfortable! If you prefer a quiet room (like we did), ask for a room facing the courtyard. This hotel is also one block down from the street car, trolley lines and bus lines.
Two blocks down there is a Walgreen's - great place to stock up on bottled water (since the hotel wants $5 per bottle) or juice and light snacks. The vending machines are hard to get to on all floors - they are in a locked room and lacking in choices. Parking is expensive - $39 per day valet. There's a parking garage two blocks up on Beach Street (imparking) for $20 per day with no in/out privileges. If you use the offsite parking, be sure not to leave anything in your car.
There's also a bread factory you can tour about three blocks away called Boudin. They have a full restaurant and an eatery. We were so cold after walking the Pier and stopped in for a bread bowl with soup - what a treat! Highly recommend!
Fabulous hotel for business travelers or families!

I am an extremely picky traveler - a woman traveling alone on business who has stayed in some of the nicest hotels in North America. I LOVED this hotel! The rooms are HUGE, clean and have a lovely modern decor. The beds are SO comfortable!! The bathrooms are big and clean and have huge walk-in showers. The staff bend over backwards to attend to your every need and made me feel very pampered. I felt very safe in this hotel, and loved the location! It's perfect for catching the double-decker bus tours or cable cars into downtown San Francisco. Wondeful quiet location but only two blocks form the hustle and bustle of Fisherman's Wharf, and its very easy to get out of the city from this location, too (i.e. for meetings out of the city, getting to the airport, or for a trip to Muir Woods!). I can't wait to stay here again!
