Hard to Say if I'd Stay There Again

The Venetian to me was like a beautiful, scented maze. They pipe fragrance throughout and we could smell it outside the front entrance, as soon as we got off the shuttle from the airport. It is a nice scent and truly does help to absorb all the cigarette odors, but if you have allergies at all it can get to you after awhile... The room itself was nice but not quite what it was cracked up to be. The bed and couches were super comfy. The view was not as good as the view suites at New York New York - it was supposedly a strip view but we couldn't see much of the strip at all, mainly just the big Wynn sign, the several Venetian pools and, unfortunately, some construction and a huge crane. The room had no drawers which was odd compared with other hotels we've stayed in, so we had to keep some of our stuff in our suitcases. The description of the room said that we'd have an Ipod dock in the clock radio but we didn't. The bathroom was super nice and it was fun to have a makeup table and TV in there. But for some reason, not sure if the remotes needed fresh batteries or what, both TV's we used (there were three in the suite) changed channels SUPER SLOWLY. Our second day there housekeeping never came. I didn't feel like calling them so just hung our towels to dry overnight. The casino is probably one of the nicest in Vegas, and it was convenient to be able to use the tickets at the Palazzo too. The Palazzo casino was also quite nice. The staff kept warning us that the mini bar will charge if you lift anything up, so we didn't touch!

The Venetian Resort was GREAT

We have visted Las Vegas many times and have stayed at several resorts. We were very impressed with the Venetian and would definetly return. Resort staff very professional and helpful. Rooms were extremely clean. Service was excellent, and we especially liked the security of knowing that you have to be a registered guest to get access to the tower elevators to the guest rooms. We would highly recommend this resort.

Will not stay there again

Great looking hotel. Stayed 4 nights. Everything was great until we had a problem. On our last day in Vegas we returned to our room at 4:30 pm only to find out it had not been cleaned. All our towels were still on the floor in a pile wet. We had planned to go out for a nice dinner and evening before we left the next morning. 3 calls to the front desk with promises that someone will be right up and conversations with 2 Venetian employees I found on our floor level over the next 2 hours got no results. I finally found a maid who was cleaning another room and got some towels from her. She said she would be up there in 45 minutes to clean. This is at 6:30 and I told her my wife would be well over an hour getting ready and we needed at least an hour or better. Well guess who showed up at 7:15? I got ready and went down to the front desk and was told I would have $25 deducted from any room charges we had. We went out for dinner at 8:00 and a 45 minute wait at the restuarant that we had 7 pm reservation for, the night was pretty well a bust with all the rushing around we had to do. As we finished check out I opened the receipt and there was no $25 deduction. I went back to have our bill adjusted. It's really a nice hotel unless you have a problem and then you're on your own.

LOVED IT !!!!

Me and my husband stayed at the Venetian for our Honeymoon in March. It was our first time to Vegas and as much research as we did we were not sure what to expect and if we had made the right choice as far as hotels go. All I can say is WOW! What a great place.. we stayed 5 days and didn't want to leave. Everything about our stay was above expectations and the hotel is beautiful !! I know it's one of the more expensive hotels but so well worth the money. So for anyone looking through the reviews like I did...this is the one. We checked out all the hotels on the strip and it will always be our first choice. P.S. O by Cirque De Soliel is a MUST.. it's at the Bellagio

Great stay, but please get rid of the perfumes!

We've stayed at the Venetian a few times before, and this was another typical Vegas trip with the same experience. This time, we got put into the Venezia tower. I have never stayed in the tower, but I think it's a slight upgrade from the normal rooms in the main tower. Walking from the Venezia lobby to the bank of elevators to the rooms, you are greeted with the most opulent surroundings...gas lamps lining the wall, and a grand marble hallway right after the security checkpoint. The room was of the usual...two flat screens, very clean, everything tidied up and in order. The shower even had these cool side jets...not that therapeutic in terms of massaging, but you feel like you get cleaned better somehow. The room also had a view of the strip and the Mirage volcano. So, overall the stay was great. The one minus is the amount of perfume that's released into the air, probably to neutralize/mask the smoke smell. I think it's just way too strong...there were times that it was so strong I had to catch my breath twice. It was like walking through the cosmetic department at Macy's. So, because that really annoyed me, I took away one rating from the overall. Other than that, this is still a fine five-star Vegas strip hotel.
