Belvedere less than it appears

Their rooms weren't ready at 4PM. Bath towel was already wet when we went into room. Maybe housekeeping quit that day.

In town for four nights thu-mon. Arrived at 7:00 AM after driving all night from Midwest. They found a room for us and checked us in immediately, much to our relief. Rooms are standard size for Manhattan but clean with mini-fridge and microwave. Overheating the room was a minor issue and the elevators can be slow but overall we were very pleased. We usually stay in the Upper West Side near the venue but the value here was too good to pass up and it turned out well. The hotel is two blocks from three major subway lines and there are plenty of restaurants on nearby 8th and 9th streets, though the hotel does offer a $20 breakfast buffet (too pricey for our budget so we never tried it). Times Square withing 3 blocks.

We were very pleased with the Belvedere. The room was clean, the staff was courteous and the location was perfect!

We stayed at the Belvedere Hotel for a few nights in March 2009 and it was perfect for us. It was only 2 blocks from all our destinations: Broadway show, Becco Restaurant, Times Square. It was extremely clean and alot roomier than we expected for a New York hotel. The mini-kitchenette was great for our quick breakfasts. The concierge were very helpful. We are recommending The Belvedere to everyone.

I thought it was great. Good location, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Close to many attractions, near the subway, train stations etc. Rooms were a little small, but most are in NYC. I would definitely stay here again.
