Convenient to many trolley lines. Free on site parking is unusual in S.F. and was a key reason for choosing this hotel. Didn't need to use car for most touring, very convenient to many trolley lines. Manager is extremely helpful in giving directions & suggestions. Large room with mic, fridge, table & chairs great for our family with 3 teenage boys. Nice residential safe area, we walked at night to grocery store. Good to be staying away from noisy tourist locations.

Nice small family hotel

Nob Hill Motor Inn is a charming, warm, clean hotel in the middle of a large cold city. We loved the parking, clean room, big bathroom, comfy bed and over all secure feeling. The owners are so helpful with maps and suggestions for visiting the city. It's a Great place!

The room was too small for a 5 night stay, barely enough room for our luggage and we didn't like the microwave and refrigerator being in the bathroom. The free parking was a definite plus but spaces are designed for compact cars. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was ok but we would have preferred a little more variety, esp. with the fruit. The location was great. A quiet safe neighborhood with many restaurants and stores nearby. Buses and cable cars were not more than 2 1/2 blocks away making it very easy to get everywhere in the city.

This was a great little secret place. 28-room motel nicely renovated, warm feeling. The staff was perfect, very attentive, friendly, simply outstanding. Nice size rooms, quiet, clean, great service, great location. Great beds, pillows, slept well. Will return and stay there again. Loved it!

i actually had to leave 1/2 way through my trip.i was unable to sleep because of the construction i did not know would be going on.i was very upset by this BUT the woman behind the counter was nice and professional.
