- Breathtakingly cold, breathtakingly pretty Tallinn was a winter wonderland of churches, museums, views, great food, great nightlife, and heart-warming vodka.

- Old City Tallinn is a place I came into having no idea what to expect, and I came away with a wealth of great photos and stories. Different from what I was told and had guessed, this city has much to offer an interested traveler.

- Tallinn’s beautiful, compact, and well-preserved, two-tiered medieval center reflects its past as the Hanseatic city of Reval. It’s a paradise for medievalists and walkers alike, and fancying myself a bit of both, even heavy rain and still heavier throngs of booze cruisers couldn’t prevent me from enjoying my time there.

- Called 'Peep into the kitchen' and housed inside a 15th-century tower, Tallinn's most interesting museum displays with remarkable clarity the town's medieval history. Without peeping inside however, Tallinn's history can be equally experienced by strolling along numerous meandering alleyways, cobbled streets and unique courtyards that fill up the Old Town.

- After spending two days in Riga, we took a bus to Tallinn where we spent another two days running around cobbled streets. It’s a wonderful city for a short break and staying within the city’s medieval walls means you’re always a stones throw from a snug café or underground bar.

- Tallinn is a medieval yet modern city that should definitely be on any Eastern European itinerary.
