Couldn't have been better

I am amazed that this hotel only received 3 stars from the travel website. The rooms were gorgeous and the breakfast was incredible. The parking is very steep though, but that is to be expected no matter what city you stay in.

First time in Toronto and I would come back there again just to stay here. The staff hands down was the best part of this hotel. The management should be proud of their staff. We had a Studio and it was spotless. I honestly can't say enough about this hotel. It made my trip.. Great staff, clean, awesome breakfast and great location.

Great experience

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. We had a studio room, but it was a so cleverly designed. It had a kitchen area as you enter, a sitting area with very smartly designed furnishings to take advantage of the size and arrangement of the space. Then a bed off to the left, the sink area, and a separate toilet/bath/shower room. Internet access is free thruout the hotel and there are free computers in the fitness area and main lobby area. Also a small bar, and excellent full breakfast each morning. The night we arrived there was also a free dinner (we didnt' partake as we wanted something a little more gourmet) For families this is really a nice value. The fitness center is not much, but the equipment is good. An elliptical, 2 treadmills, 2 bikes, and a tv to watch. The pool is small but fine for families, and a nice hot tub. Great location, right in the entertainment district. I can't think of a single downside to staying in this hotel- oh, one thing. We stopped in for a late night glass of wine & brandy. This cost us $30! We thought it was too high and asked to see the bill, and with the taxes and our $5 tip, that's what it was! I'd ask about the price of wine before buying any there. With the full kitchen, you can buy a bottle in a nearby shop and enjoy in your room for much less.

Very Nice, New Hotel

The Residence Inn, is located in the entertainment district of Toronto surrounded by theaters, cinemas, art centres, amazing restaurants and is just north of The CN Tower.

The hotel is new and very cool for a Residence Inn. It feels more like a boutique hotel. There are studio's, one and two bedroom suites. Each have a full kitchen and is well equipped with cutlery, plates, glassware etc. The rooms are very big, have a full sofa and flat screen tv's.

A hot breakfast is served every morning. It's pretty good. The hotel is well suited for the business traveler who is staying on an extended basis. It's also ideal for people traveling with kids.

Staff is very friendly and professional.

As I mentioned the location is great. If you like to shop Queen St. West is just two blocks north where you will find Roots, Club Monaco, H&M, Zara, Nike, Puma, LuLu Lemon, etc..

For dining out, check out the restaurants on King St. one block north. Italian, sea food, Greek, steak, Thai, French, Spanish, you will find it all!

Hotel has a good fitness room with free weights and cardio machines.

The average price at this hotel is $169-$189

The people are extremely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast buffet is INCREDIBLE! Everything you could want for breakfast is there. The fitness room teatures top of the line equiptment, very clean and complete. If you are in Toronto for the entertainment district, it is very convenient. Downtown walkable with family. Extremely clean, kitchen comes complete with microwave, dishes, cups, silverware, refrigerator, etc.. Nice supermarket that was open 24 hours/day was right around the corner (Rabbas is the name). Would stay again. Great value.
