Best Things Nearby:
The beach, some cows, and Galveston (20 miles away).

Best Things About the Resort:
Great natural location and very nice rooms.

Resort Experience:
This resort has a lot going for it. The location is outside of Galveston, so you can avoid a lot of the crowds, traffic, and noise associated with staying in a beach town/vacation spot. It's got a tremendous asset in that it's literally right across the street from the beach (this portion of the beach is not crowded at all). The rooms are great, spacious two bedrooms with a balcony and two full baths. The location is within driving distance of NASA and Houston.

The resort however needs to do a lot in the way of amenities and activities. The pool is okay, but they don't have a fitness center and the activities include shuffleboard and games in the main center (yawn). No group fishing trips (although I'm sure they'll give you a number of some local charters), no booze cruises, and no snorkeling. The restaurants are a bit of distance away (closer to Galveston and the nearest and best grocery store is a Wal-Mart in Galveston about 15 miles away, and a Kroger not too far past the Wal-Mart).

Overall, it was a nice, quiet week of timesharing on the beach. We went in late April and the weather was great, not too hot and the water temps were in the 70s.

I'd recommend it if you're looking to relax and spend some time on the beach. If your looking for your day to be filled with resort sponsored activities, then look elsewhere.

Beach across the street.

Best Things About the Resort:
Nice two-bedroom units. Well-kept, nice staff, and good location, although a little out of the way.

Resort Experience:
The resort is actually about 15 miles from the city of Galveston. This can be good or bad, depending on what you like to do. There are very few stores or restaurants in this area, so we found ourselves driving into town each day. The resort is nice, but it needs more amenities and onsite activities. It is pretty much limited to a pool, beach volleyball, and a few games in the activity center. But they have plans to expand and update, and they really need to.

Best Things Nearby:
The beach was almost empty when we went, but this was must likely due to the overcast weather.

Best Things About the Resort:
Staff is friendly and heplful. It is about 15 miles away from town, so it is quiet.

Resort Experience:
The rooms were clean and the bedrooms were a good size. Kitchen was kind of small, but it worked for the cooking we did in it. Grounds were well kept up.

Resort Experience:
We had a two-bedroom condo with a patio angled for a view of the beach. We were across the street from the beach, but the surrounding area was open. The girls showered at the pool area after each beach visit and then swam in the pool before returning to the condo. The grills outside were located conveniently and we made good use of them. The condo was very comfortable and well-maintained.
