My husband and I stayed at the Westin in April 2009. The customer service was great, the food was tasty, the room was very comfortable and ours in particular was spacious. We were in the main building on the 8th floor and had a fantastic view of the resort and the beach. The location of the hotel is very handy to the marketplace which is a fantastic place to kick back enjoy a drink and enjoy local entertainment. The next time we come we are bring our children because we witnessed alot of families enjoying themselves. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who is going to visit Lucaya! Thank you for a wonderful stay and we look forward to returning.

Our stay at the Westin was very nice and eventful. From the moment we stepped on the property, we were greeted with smiles and service galore from all of the staff. The bell hop even gave us a local history lesson about the resort and Island. The grounds were well kept--even daily grooming of the beach front. The ocean front room on the high floors has a terrific views of the pools, beaches and ocean. The room was nice (the bathroom was a little small) with double sliding glass doors that open up to a nice sized balcony--breathtaking! The food and drink at the resort is a bit on the pricey side, but we've paid more at other resorts in the Carribean and had a lot less service. To get around this, you only have to walk about 300 yards to the marina where at least a dozen other bars and eating places are ready to serve you. One such place was Le Med and a great bar was Rum Runners (great coconut shell drinks). Everyone we had contact with--sailing captains, swimming with the dolphins trainers, snorkel tour guides, and Bahama Mama bartenders--provided some of the best service in the world (we've traveled to a lot of places--second only to New Zealanders). We will come back!!

My family and I stayed at the Westin Jan. 1 - 10th and had a great time!
The weather was perfect the entire time, with the exception of one day where it rained in the evening. Most times, the beach water was warmer than the pool water. Everything to do is right at the hotel including, parasailing, jet skiing, banana boats, etc. The only thing you can't do is snokel anywhere near by.
They have a concierge to assist you with any type of tours. We took the Bahama Mama Tour that take you out on a boat to snorkel with lots of fish, then off to a private beach for a great lunch, (bbq chix n ribs, corn on cob, red peas & rice) then a volley ball match. Make sure to ask for X, who will ensure you have a great time!
The Lucaya Market Place has a variety of restaurants. Be prepared anywhere/anything you eat is expensive. For a family of five for lunch or dinner would cost you $100 easily, (we shared meals). Rum Runners has great food: $4 tuna sandwich & fries, $4 fried conch fritters, $7 club sand & ff, $4 non-alcoholic smoothies. Pisces Pizza, both italian rest. are great, catch the early bird special by 6pm. Luciano's, great fine dining. Every restaurant, etc. adds on 15% gratuity. You can eat at subway: For 3- 6' sandwiches, 1 bags of chips & 1 drink for $24.00.
Snokeling at Paradise Cove was the best. You have to swim out to the coves in shallow water, but once you get there, lots of fish to see! Make sure to visit the folks at PineTree Stables. Overall the hotel staff was friendly, some more than others.

We had the best time! Every staff member at the Westin was helpful, friendly and accomodating. We could not ask for any thing better. My husband asked the housekeeper to clean our room earlier than normal on my birthday - when we came in there were flowers in the bathroom and a towel on the bed in the shape of a heart with flowers - I was so surprised and pleased! She went above and beyond her job. We also found the best food on the beach. Billie Joe's is right down from the Sheraton on the beach and you can get grilled lobster, conch salad, red snapper, conch fritters or cracked conch. Great food, great family run business! The best Pina Colada's are at Iries and we can't wait to go back.

I was in the bahamas Dec7-Dec12th 2008. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. The staff is friendly and very helpful. In one day the staff knew us on a first name basis. The food across the street in the Port Lucaya Marketplace is very good, especially at the AFTER THE DECK restaurant. We went there everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Even for late snakcs and drinks. We were able to get a scooter for 2 days free after visiting a timeshare at the Taino Resort not far from us. We didn't get the timeshare, but only went through with it so we could get the scooters , bottle of rum and t-shirts for free. We road the scooters everywhere, to the Lucayan National Park, to Paradise Cove, downtown freeport and basically all over. The fish fry that is on Wed has excellent food. The bonfire that is on Tues is good for entertainment with all you can eat food and drinks. The beach is awesome, must try the jet skiing. The pools are wonderful. Everything is very spacious. The cleaning staff for the rooms were helpful and always on point. The balcony was great. Overall the Resort and food the casino and everything was absolutely perfect. I can't wait for us to go back. My first vacation to the bahamas and my first vacation for a very long time. I was over joyed and excited and cried because we had to leave. Hope to see Freeport,Bahamas again.
