Relaxing week in tropical setting!

This hotel is great for a week of relaxation. The grounds are very pretty and well maintained, the food was very good and plentiful, plenty of chairs by the pools and beach, and a really great staff! This place is not as large as some other RIU all-inclusives, so getting around on foot is easily manageable. No gym, but free access to the RIU Yukatan gym just a 5 minute walk away. There is NOT wireless internet access as stated in ad, but we were able to pay a $3.00 fee and use their computers almost anytime. Very nice mix of ages, from babies to grandparents, and a couple of wedding parties all seemed to mix well. Staff was always inviting us to play games - sand volleyball, bingo, water arobics, etc. Beds are not as soft as at home but I slept very well. I would definitely return!

We enjoyed the hotel as little as we were there. I didn't like the stone hard pushed together regular sized beds. Felt like my husband and I couldn't sleep together! Decent food....liked the fact that we could visit the other hotels. Tequila had the best bars. Rooms smell musty....buy your booze at airport and take to hotel. Especially if you don't like Corona! Beach very crowded. Not very many kids, which was nice.

riu playacar in playa del carmen was a pleasent surprise.. we've stsayed at several resorts in playa so were able to compare and give this place two thumbs up. food was great, pleasent people from the front desk to the wait staff to the maids and dive shop. close to town $ us dollars including tip each way, easy shuttles to akumel also. would recomend to friends.

Very nice place. Perfect for the girls getaway trip we had. Rooms were clean, Staff was great, food was excellent and so were the MOJITOS!!!!!.

From the moment we arrived, party of 10, every thing was perfect. Friendly and eager to serve staff, clean and spacious rooms, great pool area, beach and entertainment for both young and adults.. Cannot recommend enough to anyone that wants to spend an enjoyable and relaxing time as a couple or with family.
