This hotel is high-end but not up to the level of luxury one would expect at something along the lines of a Four Seasons or Ritz-Carlton. Rates are usually in the high $200's or low $300's. Definately one of the best places to stay in Tremblant though. West up here with my parents a couple of times when I was a kid and they were always big fans of the place although I feel like it might not be the best place for kids. It has more of a romantic feeling to it. For this reason, we also gave weekend trips to the Fairmont as gifts a number of times throughout the years to couples/clients. They have all your standard amenities that you would expect at a hotel in this class. Restaurant, bar, pool, jacuzzi, valet parking, concierge, etc. I would recommend getting out of the hotel and going to eat/drink in the village as it is a much more unique experiece. There are lots of great places to eat in the village and really no reason to come all the way here and just sit in the hotel. Tremblant is about getting out and seeing the area.

I stayed at the Fairmont Tremblant in November 2002. We had a cozy room with an extremely comfortable down duvet, large marble bathroom, and a view of the mountain and village. One of the main reasons we chose the Fairmont was for its three outdoor Jacuzzis, a warm and special treat after a day of attempting to hike to the top of Mont Tremblant!

The Fairmont is a good luxury choice if money is not a concern to you; the staff provides efficient and quick service, and small details such as bathrobes in each room are not overlooked. The high season prices are considerably higher than what we paid. Normally this hotel charges $225 and up per night, but we stayed in low season and paid $150 CAD. Try to book directly with Fairmont either throught their web site or toll-free number, you can find specials not advertised through the Tremblant main reservations center and you can avoid the two night stay rule imposed during high season.

The Fairmont Tremblant rests at the base of the mountain. You can ski out of the hotel and onto a lift no more than 50 feet away. You pay for this location. And on this, the Fairmont delivers. It delivers, though, on very little else. The rooms are appointed as well as any Holiday Inn. The decor is hardly stellar. And, even with the positive exchange rate, it is very expensive. The hotel houses The Amerispa, which offers excellent body scrubs and Vichy shower massage, which I recommend. But you don't have to stay here to go to the spa.
