Not worth the money we paid

I have 2 main complaints about the hotel: 1) Hotel is located within walking distance to a good number of sites, but is also right across the street from the train tracks. The trains run several times at night and woke us up through out our vacation. 2) The city side room (facing the tracks) was tiny. The bath did not have a tub, there was no dresser in the room, and the bed was only a queen size at most. My husband and I couldn't move around the room without tripping over one another - I would compare it to the size of a cruise ship room, but with less storage areas to put things.

Excellent!

The Hotel sits right on the water. I love the Northwest lodge feel. Nothing like turning on the fireplace after a long day, soaking in the DEEP tub, and staring out onto the water. This is a great hotel for relaxation as you can adjust the large flatpanel TV to be seen from the tub, bed, or sitting area. The bed was excellent as was the service.

A good stay

The only thing we can say is try to get on the waterside. We got the city side and there are railroad tracks about 100 yds away. When you close the sliding doors you can't hear the trains. But, it was a distraction. Ask for the 3rd or 4th floor. You will be up higher and it will allow you to see more. Valet was roughly $28.00 per day. This was an unexpected expense. But, there are not many other convenient choices. Bar, lounge, dining room had excellent atmoshphere with great views. Also, the lobby area had nice big chairs and couches to sit in to watch the sunset or just relax. Our room was very nice with comfortable bed. Walk-in shower was a nice touch.

Perfect for romantic getaway

The waterfront rooms are definitely worth the extra money. It's a great way to experience Seattle - watching the ferries come and go. It looked like the bathrooms were newly renovated - loved the deep soaking claw-foot tub!
