We loved the K+K Hotel George in London

We found the hotel to be very nice, very clean, very friendly and very accommodating. We had three people in a room -- so it was a little tight -- but the beds were very comfortable and the accommodations very nice. We liked it that there was A/C, but we could also open the windows and our room overlooked the very beautiful garden. Although the rooms were kind of small by American standards, we found that they made very efficient use of all of the space available -- so it was quite comfortable for three of us. The only negative would be that the breakfast buffet was extremely expensive. One thing we really liked was that the hotel was just one block away from the Earl Court underground station which is on the Picadilly line -- so extremely convenient for both Heathrow and London itself. There was also a grocery store, a McDonald's, a bakery and two off licenses between the tube and the hotel -- so very convenient for picking up food, snacks, waters every day, etc.
Wonderful Experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at the K&K George Hotel. The staff was wonderful, welcoming and very accommodating. It was attractive and very clean. The food was exceptionally good - a magnificent spread for the continental breakfast. It is, like most of Europe, small judged by our American standard with narrow hallways and a compact bathroom, but we felt like we were in a top quality hotel. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked and it was very quiet, so we slept well. It was convenient to the tube stops and in a bustling semi-residential area. Loved the inner garden, too. Definitely would recommend it highly. One negative - would be a difficult place for someone who was confined to a wheel chair.
Great!

Our room was on the fourth floor which did not afford a view but the room itself was very clean. Everything in the room, from bedding to bathroom fixtures felt as though it had just been purchased. The decor was 'modern' and we had a kettle, a small fridge, and a small wall safe, which was handy. There are 5 computers for internet and a cosy gym room with sauna. Breakfast was not included in our arrangements but that was just as well since although they rave about it, it costs15 pounds. If you stay there, just walk down Spear Mews street, which is just one block, and have breakfast at Bench'os for only 5 pounds. They have a wonderful eggs, toast, mushrooms, sausage, and thick sliced ham deal that kept us going until late in the day. They open at 6:30am. The hotel has a laundry service but there is coin laundry down the street if you prefer. (Have a lot of coins!) Tube station in Earls Court was two minutes away by foot. That was a great help. We changed money at the Post Office, just up the street from Bencho's towards Earls Court. They don't charge a fee and give good rates. Masala Zone was right there too, and so drop in if you like Indian. Another reviewer mentioned having gone to the Kabob House which was fantastic so we tried it and agreed. I thought it was all about meat but they have very tasty vegetable dishes too. In all the Hotel was an excellent value and immaculate inside and out. We felt safe and happy and everything we needed was right outside.

Booked a triple room for myself, wife & adult daughter. Room, as expected, was small - 3 single beds with 2 pushed together. Bath also small, but recently remodeled. My bed was comfortable, but my wife thought hers was lumpy. We were on the 5th floor facing the rear of the hotel. They were replacing a lift during our stay, so after 8am there was construction noise. 2 remaining lifts were working - the new one was nice, but small. The old one you could literally get only 4 people in it - very small. It took some time to get the temperature cool enough in the room, as we turned off the heat completely then it was fine. Location of the hotel was great, on a quiet street, but only a block from many pubs, food stores and the Earls Road Tube stop. (3 min. to tube stop) The included buffet breakfast was good: scrambled eggs, (very undercooked for my liking) sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, 4 kinds of dry cereal, yogurt, fish, raw salmon, fruit, toast, 4 types of juices & champagne. Service was good at the buffet, save for one day when they didn't clear our dishes & give refills on coffee. Front desk was efficient and friendly. There is an odd thing with the room key, you get only one that is 2 pieces of plexiglass with a device inside that unlocks your door. They ask that you leave the key at the desk when you go out, which worked OK. I would stay here again if the price was right.

Overall we were satisfied with the hotel. The location was very convenient for the Earls Court tube stop and restaurants, post office, etc. on Earls Court St. Our room was adequate, the bathroom was very nice, very clean but small. Some things did not work at the beginning of the stay, - the telephone, our safe, but were fixed in a timely manner when brought to the attention of the staff. We never did have internet access in our room, so taking our laptop was worthless but we did use the internet downstairs without a problem. We did not have a problem checking in but others were not so lucky. They waited all day for a room and still didn't have one at 6:30p.m. The staff was always pleasant and helpful.
