We went to Mama's right there on the docks. We sipped on some Greek wine, the locals sitting around us talking in their own Greek language. I have to say that, along with the atmosphere, the food couldn't have been more authentic.

Overtaken by the elegance of the St. Nicholas Cathedral. Hearing the excited crowd speaking what must be Greek. Am I in Florida?

Known as the 'Sponge Capital of the World' - here is a bit of Greece on the West coast of Florida. Has the feel of a Greek sponging/fishing village even if it is a little 'touristy'. Of interest to out-of-town visitors and locals alike as well as an excellent place to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine.

Whenever we travel on the west coast of Florida we like to visit Tarpon Springs. North of Tampa, this city is known for it's Greek influence. You feel like you have been transported to the Greek Islands without having to leave this country.
