- Over the course of a week, we explored the beauty and mysteries of the Scared Valley high in the Peruvian Andes. We visited such wonderful places as Cusco, Pisac, and Ollantayambo. We also explored many Incan Ruins, culminating with the magnificent Machu Picchu.

- Eleven visits later, Machu Picchu still remains inexpressibly beautiful. Take the bus, the train, hike for one day or hike for four days, and be assured you will not be disappointed. The most important thing is that Machu Picchu is within reach of everybody.

- Mystical, magical, plain fantastic, Machu Picchu, descriptions fail you!
It may be the most visited site in South America but all the press it receives is more than deserved.
I have harboured a desire to visit this sacred place for the last 20 years and the city did not disappoint!

- Having reached Machu Picchu you will have reached one of the least visited 'major' archeological sites of this planet. The size and setting are the most fasciating values. Getting there is your largest challenge.

- Seven-day group tour with a local college. One day hike via the Inca Trail (Km 104) to Machu Picchu. Also visited ruins and churches in Cuzco, Ollaytantambo and Lima. What a way to celebrate my 39th birthday.
