Nice Location, Modest Rooms

The Hotel is located very near to the older districts of Helsinki, providing quick access to a variety of sites, such as ferries to Suomenlinna, the Cathedrals, and other historic buildings, as well as close access to the trolley lines and other transportation (a travel pass is very helpful in Helsinki). Additionally, with the conference center right across the street, it is very convenient for business conventions.
However, the rooms are equipped with far fewer amenities than is typical in this price range, and were much simpler as well, so make sure to bring all the toiletries you'll need. Double rooms (required for 2 guests) are merely a set of twin beds pushed together, there is no bathtub, and room size if a little smaller than expected. The view from the front of the hotel is mostly of the conference center and cruise ships.
Staff was quite polite and helpful, breakfast is all inclusive, and is a full buffet (no continental), and was very nice to have available.
Overall, it was a nice hotel for the location, breakfast, and conference center access (this was a business trip), but for personal travel I would probably opt for a different hotel for the cost vs. benefits/size of the room.
Perfect for stress free

"Helsinki is a hidden jewel. Historic, great shopping, amazing food. As for the Grand Marina, the staff was great and the food was abolutely incredible. My husband and I can't wait to come back."
