It was a great hotel over all. Very nice inside and out. The food was good most nights. They could use improvements and make a better varity. Over all I would rate this hotel a 3 or 4 on a scale 1-5.

I enjoyed our trip so much. The activites the hotel provided were fun, the pool, and beach were enjoyable. The a la carte restaurants were very good. Our room was nice. We loved the king size bed. Our room had no clock! The staff was extremely nice. The buffet food was not very good. We also got mantazumo's revenge, probably from the ice at our resort. We drank only bottled water.

Positives: location, beach, pool, beverages, very friendly staff,----negatives: room (musty, small), food (buffet was not good).-------Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, it was a great vacation spot. Just do not plan to spend too much time in your room, and you will love this place.

We have taken 8 of us (Kids, Grandkids, Grandparents) to the Canto Del Sol for the past two years and will be going back for our third year. A great place for the children and their parents who like to eat often. Great activities for the kids with the daily Kids Club for those 4 years old and up. A little outdated deor but the rooms are clean, comfortable and good sized. The food is mediocre at best. Plan a few meals away from the resort - you get bored with their food very fast.

Right amount of people there, not packed. Sellers on the beach, very ennoying!! Just say no and walk away!! Same with the time share people in the main drag in town. Dont talk to them and agree to go see "another hotel" unless you want a whole ruined day of no fun! Take the bus everywhere!! It is about .40 cents to get into town, compared to 5 bucks with a taxi. Service was great, clean room everyday. Got bored with the food, but I am sure that is everywhere. Great location, right outside of the main drag where all the action is.
