We just love this hotel and can't say enough about it! Steps away from the subway and Fenway Park! Fantastic staff. The room was great - quiet (and it overlooked Fenway park), comfortable and relaxing. Loved the turndown service and the cookies left on our pillows. Can't imagine staying any other place.

Excellent location only feet from the Kenmore Square subway station. Our room on the Fenway Park side had no noise from the nearby turnpike or the stadium. Very enjoyable: friendly staff, efficient service, large room, clean bathroom. Museums, Bosox and restaurants easily within walking distance.

My hosts put me up at the Hotel Commonwealth in the Fenway Park area. The hotel itself was beautiful and luxurious in an old-fashioned way. Upon arrival, I was greeted by several doormen dressed in uniform. The lobby was spacious and decorated in deep reds.

I stayed in a junior suite overlooking Commonwealth Avenue (which was torn up with construction). The room was enormous and consisted of both a sitting room and a bedroom divided by rich fabric curtains. The sitting room was furnished with a a television, a large writing desk, two leather chairs, a table holding stacks of reading material and an ottoman. I loved the variety of books and magazines available. They ranged from cookbooks to travel magazines.

The bathroom was large and comfortable and filled with L'Occitane soaps, lotions and gels (this made me very happy). Other amenities included: 2 terrycloth bathrobes, an iron, a hairdryer, and an umbrella. I particularly appreciated the umbrella.

After settling in, I wandered downstairs to see the lobby shops. They were high-end boutique shops; a little too pricey for actual shopping, but fun to browse. I did want to purchase some chocolates from Temper Chocolates, but alas, they were closed for the holiday. I loved looking at the artwork from the Panopticon Gallery of Photography.

After dinner, I returned to my room and found a large stack of additional pillows and blankets and a beautiful plastic-wrapped chocolate-covered graham cracker on my pillow. As I got ready for bed, I was thankful for the giant mirror just outside the bathroom and for the thick delicious-smelling L'Occitane lotion. It really was a luxurious night.
