Cramped space

My wife and I stayed at this location for a family reunion. The room we were given was way too small - not even space to put luggage without triping over it. Be sure to check with the hotel concerning a larger room. They are available, but with Travel website rate...you'll probably get a small room by default. They do have suites....but I have no idea what the cost would be. We would not stay at this location again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, bathrooms were a good size, breakfast was included and yummy. The pool was nice and the staff was very helpful. It is right on the streetcar stop which is handy for traveling up and down St. Charles Ave. Overall, I would recommend a stay here. There was even free internet access in the lobby for printing our return boarding passes. Thanks for making our weekend trip a great one!
Great location

Begin on the trolly line was great! We bought 3-day passes ($12 each) and rode the trolley everywhere. Walking distance from a couple of OK restaurants.
Room was clean and comfortable, included fridge and microwave. Courtyard layout was pleasant and landscaping was beautiful.
Breakfast was continental but included a lot of choices. Eating area was small and sometimes crowded.
Parking was on the gounds or right across the street, very convenient.
Pool was nice size but was dirty with leaves. We didn't want to swin anyway but would have hesitated because of the water condition.
We would definately stay here again. Good value at a reasonable price.

Untruthful staff hid fact there was no hot water at time of check in and later first denied they knew but later claimed they had told me. They expected the fact they were working on the problem was something I should get excited about. I never did get any hot water from the tap. I asked to speak with the manager, I don't think there is a manager at this hotel. Or at least I did't get an acknowledgement of my complaint from one. No restaurant or bar although it was on the web page when I made the reservation. Mention of these has now been removed. Room smelled funny. Food left in frig. Microwave is good to heat water if you want to get clean. They did comp my parking, woopee! Find somewhere else to stay in NOLA until this place straightens up its act or call first to discover what is working.

The first night of our stay in this hotel was good, until about midnight when a large group of people started hanging out in the courtyard and being extremely loud. And it only went downhill from there. The first morning we were there, we had no hot water. I called the desk to let them know and they said they would call maintenance. Later that day, when we got home from sightseeing, we found the door to our room had been left ajar by housekeeping. Then, a little while later, we had 2 different people from the staff come by and say they had nobody registered for our room. When we went by the desk to find out why, they said that the manager thought we were checking out after I had called that morning to complain about the hot water. Where she got that idea, I do not know. Then, on Thursday evening, someone came by our room again telling us that we were needed at the front desk. About 2 minutes later, the person at the desk called to let us know that if we were staying another night we needed to come and pay for it. My husband then informed them that we were registered and had paid for the night already, so she asked is to bring our paperwork to prove it. However, before my husband was able to get there, they called back and said they had found the info they needed in their computer. They were very rude and never apologized for all the hoops they had us jumping through during our entire stay. We would not stay here again and we would not recommend it to anyone.
