Great time!!

My husband and I just returned last night from a quick 4 day stay. We booked a single room. When we entered, a window over looked a roof top, the room was okay if you are a rookie traveler. We went down stairs to pay for an upgrade. The staff upgraded us to oceanview, junior suite-on them. Of course we were delighted and surprised by the gesture. The suite was very nice. The bed was the most comfortable bed. Two pools to choose from. These place would be great for families with smaller children or those who just want to do nothing but hang by the ocean or pool. This location while older it is very well maintained. You need a car to go places. We saw the pool staff member run off Westin guests. Pampano seem to be a year round commuinty with not a lot going on.

my husband and I were there june 13th thru the 19th. we had a great time. I would recommend staying again if your not in a hurry. The elevators are so slow. Other than that we had great service. we are going back in October and staying at the beachcomber again

Good place on the beach, but beware if you would like a loung chair it will cost you $20.00 a day. The rooms were of adequate size, but the smell of must/dampness was not good. I had to go to the store and get room refreshers to keep it smelling nice. The beds were comfortable but the kitchen area was not clean! My friend and I were afraid to go in there. I don't know if I would stay there again.

The Beachcomer is lovely and the staff in very helpful. I was in town for a tradeshow and had to mail my supplies ahead of time. They stored my supplies safely for a few days and helped me load my rental car to go to the convention center. We stayed in a villa and it was roomy and comfortable. I'd love to come back again at a time when I'm not on business and bring my husband and kids! the only disappointment was that the restaurant was not open for dinner, only breakfast and lunch and the lounge bar was not open very late. We were a bit passed busy season so maybe it's open later earlier in the year. I do wish they had a non-smoking area by the pool. the tiki bar was crammed full of smokers and there were many around the pool as well. It was very unappealing for a non-smoker and I would not have been comfortable having my kids in the pool. Second hand smoke is dangerous even outside and the smoke smell was very strong. There was a 2nd pool that was quiet and mostly empty, but if you want to be where the music and fun was, you are forced to be around all the smoking.

We loved our trip to Pompano Beach FL and our stay at the Beachcomber Resort. It was everything we could have asked for. I would recommend it to any family or couple. We would stay there again if we went back to the area. The evening tour and supper on the Jungle Queen was a fun four hour night of entertainment and the food was great.
