I was in the process of book my next spring break, and i would absolutely NEVER book another vacation at this hotel. Since the moment me and my friends walked in they were SO rude to us, they expected us to be wild spring breakers and told us we all had to be 21 to stay there, even tho we had never been told that before, good thing we were. they wouldnt let us check in on time, wouldnt watch our luggage for us when we had to wait, so we spent our afternoon in the lobby. there were never pool chairs available.. the only good thing was that the bartender on the first day was really nice to us.. the woman the next day was awful and didnt believe us that we were 21. When the main ligh tin our room burnt out it took way too long to replace it, i believe it was the next day .. just awful! im sure if youre a family they will treat you well, but they are absolutely not spring break friendly!
Beachcomber Resort & Villa Great Place

Beachcomber Resort & Villa, Pompano Beach, Florida, stayed from Monday Nov. 3rd until Monday Nov. 10, 2008. Right on the beach this is a good place to stay, they are gradually updating this resort. The furniture is beautiful but could use a little touch-up where there are nicks but nothing major. Our room with an ocean and pool view was great had a large bath room and dressing/closet area. This room had 2-queen beds, a small frig (no freezer), microwave, and coffee maker, which the Resort supplied a daily supply of coffee along with shampoo, rinse, lotion and blow dryer. They also had a safe which was a good size, desk which was great for our lap top and their free wireless internet. Be sure to open the binder on the resort as it will give you info. not only to get on the internet but also about the resort and what they have to offer. The staff we came in contact with were all nice. Get your pool towels early as they run out often. The resort restaurant was only open for breakfast, peak season they?re open all day, however, lunch can be purchased around the pool, hot dogs/hamburgers, which must have been good as people were buying. The concierges, X and X, were of great help, not only did they arranged an everglade tour with pick-up at the resort, but I had called X before arriving and he arranged our pick up and drop off at the airport with TJ?s Tours at $35 each way; both tour groups were friendly as well. Before going contact Fort Lauderdale?s Visitor Bureau for their visitors map & events guide, worth having. We decided not to get a car this trip as earlier reviews said everything was within walking distance, it isn?t, so if you?re not driving ask the concierges for the bus route which we used often and had fun using it. Across the street is a very small mall which has a great restaurant (Stingers) it?s a local gathering spot great people, we ate there most of the time it serves pizza, daily specials, ice cream, drinks and has a menu with various options we had something different every time we ate there, breakfast, lunch and dinner; they also deliver to the resort, by the way cost is less than resort. In addition there is a little USA store where you can pick up milk, snacks, etc., but very expensive; a hair and nail salon, a boutique, and gift store, also a Laundromat, so pack light. Bus 11 picks you up just in the front of the resort or across the street in front of the small mall; for a $3.00 all day pass, ask the driver for a map of the bus routes, we went all over town catching the routes we needed to get to restaurants and shopping centers. Be sure to go to America?s largest indoor flea market, Festival, if using the bus take 11 to bus 10, to bus 34, going the opposite way tell the driver of bus 11 to drop you off near Shooters Waterfront Café, where you can catch the Water Taxi; warning for the bus, don?t go beyond the downtown center on Bus Route 11! The Water Taxi service has 11 convenient stops, cost $13 ($10 seniors) for an all day pass, and it will be worth this fun trip. See mansions, mega-yachts while taking you to the downtown area and the River Walk, they?ll tell you what is at each stop, and you can get off and on as you like. To summarize our stay at the Beachcomber, we?d stay again, actually we?d like to go next year. Also Pompano Beach is nice we had a wonderful time, the locals and the vacationers were friendly and all very helpful.
