not worth the money

I was told I would have a ocean view room with a king size bed, when I booked on line it gave you the options of what type of room you wanted and ocean view was priced a little higher and I picked that one. When we checked in and got up to our room it was two double beds and a side view of the ocean room 805 and we I tried to call down to talk to someone no one answered. I had to go down stairs and speak to the person he told me they don't have king size beds and all of there rooms have a view to the ocean. We had no toilet paper in the room had to get that and the white fluffy robes they provide well there was only 1 in the room they are cotton robes that you could purchase from Walmart yourself. The pool was always dirty towels left around and the so called bar buy the pool was a joke. I don't know where they get off calling this a resort it is a over priced hotel and the spa was over priced too. Very disappointed will not recommend this to anyone.

The hotel was great. The pool area was small. the bar and restaurant had good food and drink but no atmosphere. Pompano beach are is more for condo residents and not for tourists.

If you are looking for a nice hotel right on the beach, then Ocean Sands is a good choice. The rooms were modern, big and clean, although I was not overly impressed. Nice ocean view. The staff was friendly. Got a facial from the spa, which was excellent. The location is in a quieter area, about a 15 min drive from the Spring Break strip. Complaints are that the resort charged us a $25 fee per day that was not disclosed online. In addition, the only parking available was valet.

Our stay at Ocean Sands was just what we were looking for - a great hotel on the ocean with friendly service. Our room was immaculate and we especially enjoyed the big bathroom and washer/dryer in our room. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our private balcony and we spent many hours there just enjoying the view and the ocean breeze. The restaurant at the hotel was another amenity we enjoyed, especially the fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast! It's difficult to say whether the access to the beach or the friendly service was our greatest pleasure at this hotel; both were absolutely fantastic! We also had easy access to public transportation which made sight-seeing less expensive and simple. When we return to the Ft. Lauderdale area, we'll be making reservations at the Ocean Sands
Resort and Spa again!
Fun time in Pompano Beach

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was very nice, beautiful views, cute balcony, perfect for watching NY eve fireworks,(although their rooftop walking track would have provided an even better vantage point). Nice little outdoor pool, more than adequate fitness room met our criteria for a good resort hotel. Staff was very friendly, (although the woman at the front desk could have been a little nicer) didn't really like the valet parking that was mandatory although the valets were very nice. Again beautiful and spacious room, nice bathroom, clean. Would stay here again.
